help my friends out!!!

my two friends are retarded, they have been arguing for the last 3 weeks about whether or not water helps you lose weight... I'm pretty sure drinking alot of water like a round a gallon a day helps speeds ur matabolism... My other friend agrees, while the other one says he lost 30 pouds, by not drinking any water and just eating two icecubes a day... Also, does sipping water or gulping water make a difference after running in gaining weight? I know it probably doesn't, but i just want to show my one friend this friend to show him how stupid he is... PLease help, thanks
 
you need water, it is unhealthy to not have water. Drink lots of water=lose weight. It helps to keep metabolism up and overall good health. It keeps you hydrated.
 
totally. water is probably your best fat burner.

your friend who ate two ice cubes a day is a fucking moron. He lost water weight, not actual fat lbm
 
i know my friend who lost the 'weight' is stupid... good point eviction... he has trouble listening to me and my friend, also all the kids in my school are stupid b/c they have no clue wut they are talkin about... Even my football team, i told my football coach the work we did was bad cuz we did 4 days a week ( i will post the workout when i have time), and told him i wanted to weight lift elsewhere, and he said, 'do ur workout here first and then go to your gym with ur trainer and do whatever u have to do with him there'... people are so ignorant sometimes...
 
water helps the organism fucntion more healthy but it has little to do with actual fat burning.
 
water does help with fat loss because it keeps the body from goin into dehydration which slows down the bodies ability to burn calories... a good article i found just now on it can be found, here... www3.extension.umn.edu/water/diet_fs.pdf

the question was not 'would i lose more fat while hydrated or dehydrated?'

LOL! At eating ice cubes,Believe it or nor there actually was an article stating that eating ice would burn more calories,it stated that the body had to use calories to melt the ice to body temperature.I guess someone actually bought this bull!

that was the question... and by drinking water it will make ur body hydrated which will help ur metabolism, on the other hand, if u didnt drink water, your body will be dehydrated and your metabolism will be slower... so it is to the point...
