It can be a bit tricky depending upon your logistics and whether you have a platform (such as a jumpstretch platform). The setup at our gym ties the bands off at the bottom of the front of the squat rack with the bands then lying out into the mat area outside the rack. Pull a flat bench over (and load some plates onto it so it doesn't move) and tie the other end of the bands off to the legs of the bench horizontally (wide). This leaves the bands taunt a few inches above the floor and draped over your barbell. Add weight, pick it up and voila - you're pulling against bands!
Every once in a while with the bands as mentioned or they can really tax your CNS. Hope your bands arrive soon!
