Help! How to gain mass!

entice

New member
Hi I am a 21yr old weighing 125lbs. and 5'6, I have never been to the gym before and I want to know whats the best thing I should take in order to gain massive mass in the shortest amount of time? My little brother who is only 17yrs old brother has way more mass than already and its pissing me off. I have a very low sex drive and low energy so I thought I had low testosterone so I went to my doctor to take a testosterone level test and he said everything was all normal. All help appreciated, thanks!

Ok Personal message me and I will guide you through this. Steroids should wait, you need to train hard and eat like a madman.

Test 500mg week for 10 weeks. You will be huge! But you should wait a few more years before you try AAS. But if not then do the Test.

eat everything in sight.

Well first and foremost the thing to keep in mind is its not necessarily what you lift(although important), but what you eat and how much of it. At your weight you should only need 3000-3500 cals a day to gain weight. Most people think that they eat a lot, but in the big skeem they just arent getting enough quality cals. In your case a dirty bulk may not be a big concern either b/c I'm sure that you have low bf. If I can help at all just pm me. Good luck bro

Didn't read your whole post through. You just need to be eating something constantly through the day. For me eating protein like tuna did the trick. You should really start lifting and eating before you think your gentics suck. Try doing only compound movements 3 of 4 times a week to start. Eat, Workout and sleep.

Wow. Talking about paying your dues.

As I said before I dont lift, but would start if it would help as I am clueless about lifting and weight gaining. I am scared that lifting weights will only make me leaner as I am skinny enough already as I have barely any body fat. The only thing im doing right now to try to gain ANY kind of weight is eating 5-6 meals a day, and sleep ALOT. But that dont seem to be working. My weight just fluctates at 125-130 lbs. Some of you said to take testosterone, would I have to compliment that with working out? What are some testosterone products names that I can get my hands on?

At some point we all can eat more calories than are body needs and we gain weight. If the calories are protein you can gain muscle, if they are fat you gain fat.

Do not take any AS right now. You have no clue how to workout yet. If the doc said you need hormone replacement then so be it but he said your normal. If you did take test you would lose all your gains shortly after you stop plus you would be setting up your body for injury.

Well at 5'6" and weighing 125lbs I could see were the draw to take a short cut would be hard to resist. It would be the wrong thing to do but I was pretty skinny back in the day and hated it. I'm glad I waited to get more knowledge on training and diet...

Thanks, so far the options i am getting from you guys are
1. Taking AAS
2. Taking testosterone
3. Take even more calories (which i feel like i have been doing already but not working)

Now if i was to take option 1, what type of workout routine would i need to be doing?
For option 2, does this require a workout routine?
By the way does anyone know the name of the RX testosterone brand name so I can do some research, since I know a doctor who will write me up any RX.

Definetley no need for AAS. Go to the diet and training forum. That is what you need to be focusing at this time. Give it a few yrs of eating right and lifting hard.

Forget Option 1 & 2. Your just going to hurt yourself. Post your diet and you will probably get some help.

I am almost 25 and have always had a slender build, so I can relate.
At 21 I weighed 150 (5'10"), now I weigh 190.

Don't mess with Testosterone yet!!!! You have never worked out and have no idea how your body will resopond to weight training. I saw the most growth in my first 6 month's of lifting. If you take Test without ever lifting you are going to hurt yourself in the gym.

Before you consider taking AAS research PCT (post cycle therapy)!
If you take juice without PCT you may be going back to the doc for the same test's w/ a different result.

EAT, EAT, EAT.

I would do 3-4 exercise per muscle group in the 8-12 rep range to start, but there much better people on this board to ask about what routine would be right for you. DON'T BE SCARED OF SQUATS, I never grew until I started doing squats consistently.

Good Luck Bro

I feel like i need some type of supplemental drug to help with my problem because i have VERY low energy throughout the day, and low appetitie but i force myself to eat as much as possible. My normal diet routine daily is

Eat sandwich for breakfast, drink water/oj
Before lunch I eat a snack with some protein bars, drink some Ensure weight gainers
Eat a full lunch
Between dinner and lunch eat more snacks, yogurts, etc.
Eat a full dinner
After dinner eat another dinner

Been doing this for awhile and no noticeable weight gain!
The only time i have ever lifted weights (did some bench presses and curls) was last year for a few weeks but that didnt last very long due to my low energy and extremely low recovery rate from working out.

If i was to get some testosterone from my doc and started lifting with my continued diet what would the effects be? Would that help increase my low energy, libido, and weight?

What do you mean by i would hurt myself?

Test would cause weight and strength gains and your body would not be able to handle it. Your joints and ligaments are not ready for it. Plus once your cycle is done you will lose all of the gains or most of them without a base. So now your weight is going up and down and thats not easy on the body ie heart.

Bro, are you able to join a gym with a personal trainer? You have not ever lifted and you should get lifting for some time before using AAS. You will see a change in your physique in weeks. If you start with a goodf trainer to show you the ropes you can go at it on your own after that. You have no business using anything until to establish yourself at a gym and get things under way. You will get strong and add some mass in about 8-12 weeks of just lifting.

I mean this with respect and empathy bro.

yes take advice here... plz dont juice you will blow up like a balloon and pop like one too. your need to start lifting regularly and eating better. if your test levels are normal, which they most likely are higher naturally than many, you should gain fine. Also, you may just be a late bloomer. I know i was and i had the same problem, but eventually my body kicked into gear and i started eating right and training right.

givin the info you have posted, i would most certainly say you are not eating properly. less pizza/cheeseburgers more tuna on wholewheat.

there is also the possibility that your a genetic phreak of nature and will be a scrawny annoying girl your entire life.

and btw this is pretty fucking sad if this is the info we are giving noobs around here. guys, W.T.F. ? the guy said he doesnt even work out. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU TELL HIM TO TAKE AAS..... this is almost painful to read.

And pal, again, option 3 is your only option.

What exactly are you eating?

Do you realize that test is AAS?

I was 110lb when i started bodybuilding, I weighed in at 223lb a little bit ago. Your diet, & training routine is what your main focus should be right now. Listen to me very carefully, dont even CONSIDER A/S right now.

Thats some of the worst advice I have ever seen. AAS shouldnt even be a option on the table for him right now. He could easily pack on 50lbs naturally. If he gets a solid diet and routine.

yea seriously. i just assumed this was an honest mistake. you probably shouldnt be giving advice on this forum anymore until you get your facts right.

Thanks jabs, stryker1992, paradox, and all you others who responded with concrete advice. Summing up all the advice i got and reading up on the boards a bit, i think my best bet would not go straight into using AAS, but first having a consistent workout routine and a complementing diet. After i establish that, i think i would start using some test as a supplement. I realized most of the people using AAS have already had experience working out and/or have an established workout routine and is using AAS to enchance that. Since i have no base to work with, using AAS from the get-go is not the way to go.

If i start working out naturally, does any of those protein mix/creatine/mass gainer mix from GNC work with lifting or are they just all bullshit? What is recommended if they do work?

I think you are doing the right thing.

About supplements, there are a few that most people would agree that work. Whey protein, creatine and flaxseed are pretty common and helpful.

Once you start working out your appetite will increase a lot and once you starting eating more bodybuilding foods you will be able to eat more vs the other filler foods. If you want I can give you a diet guide that worked real well for me and I was an ectomorph like you. E-mail me if your serious. Also, but a pocket calendar for your training and diet guide

You may think you're eating enough but you are not. Impossible not to gain if you eat enough. Choke down 5000 cals per day of which 50% are protein then get your ass in the gym. Train 3x per week - M-W-F and do 4 sets of each of the following exercises. Squats (free weights, don't be dicking around on the Smith Machine), Dead lifts, Flat bench, and cleans. There is no way if you do those things that you won't put on 25lbs by mid summer. You'll also build a good strength base to allow you to contiue to develop. Stay off the test - you will gain nothing but water and lose every ounce when you come off. Do what I tell you and you'll eventually look like me (that was supposed to be funny, not conceited)

My avi is after a bulker, right now I'm sitting sub 10% BF. Besides, this kid didn't ask how to get visable abs he asked how to get big. You don't get big doing 30 minutes of cardio 3x per week when you're a hard gainer. Also, do you really think this site is really about "all around health?" This is a fucking AAS board if you want all around health go to ieattofu.com. This site is all about "cosmetic bullshit". hey, who's been bombing you bro? I predict a short life on this site for you.

bluetwistedsteal chill man your abs look nice yhou look good bro!! very fuckable i wanst talkin shit about you man. I am just saynig if u did a bit of cardio while bulking ur BF would be lower u look fuckin good tho man keep it up!

Bro, do not blow any money on the shit at GNC. Maybe a weight gainer, can you drink milk? But please get to the gym. Creatine is good shit but trust me, you will see gains by exercising. Remember, your heart and lungs are your power core so I advocate for some cardio. All around fitness is the way I roll. So imo do some cardio. Focus on strength training and do not over do it all at once. You will be too sore and burn out.

Take care of this and I will send you steroids myself!
