Okay this may be a stupid question, but I'm going to surgery aroung march or april, for -pectus excavation- any doctors may know what this is. Now my question is that, I'm worried I will loose my gains, that I worked so hard for, because I won't be able to lift for a month and a half! Will I loose alot of muscle, or just strength???????

--Now this question is for the doctors. Okay my surgery is on my chest, they are putting a metal rod in it, Can I still work out arms, back, legs, etc???????

Yes..but...

Yes,man , you will be able to work other parts, but any exercise that works secondarily the pec muscles will be definetly forbitten for some time (decided by your surgeon), and that includes most exercises for upper body. You will need to stick with very isolated movements...
for leg work , shouldn´tbe anything against it.
good luck and keep safe(and surgery costs high.)
