help fatty plz

Alright here it is, I got hit by a few hand grenades in Iraq last year and was real close to loosing my legs. I spent several months in the hospital ( where i got skinny, then really fat), Ive been out now for about 5 months and been hitting the gym hard w/out cardio though. Im very gratefull to be able to be where i am right now but Im not happy with the fat ive gained in such a short period of time. I would appreciate it if someone could give me an idea of my bf% and recommend some cardio routines, (my guess is around 20-25%) and yes i have my diet in check. Thanx in advance

really? i wouldnt think ur % is quite that high....15 or 16% is my guess

but also for cardio routines i would try asking in training forum too

u look pretty good
 
ive never had my % done before i was just guessing and thanx ill try the training forum.
EAT BIG, im working on it now too man, aint gonna rest untill i get where i wanna be
 
i'd say BF is at least 17-18%, probably a bit higher...

good base to work from though, keep at it...
 
you look good man, just hit the cardio hard......and cut back on carbs a bit.

and your body fat is nowhere near 20%, I would estimate at 15%.

and one other thing, dont go back to iraq, young guys like you dont belong there. nobody from the west does
 
you look gud buddy and what matters is the will power that u have shown to have....everything takes time and i think a little abs workout and rest looks gud to go...cheers
 
Yeah, you look pretty good as far as I'm concerned. Nothing compared to what I look like. But thats what happens when you live a life of too much fast food, very little exersize and no vitamins. I realize it might take some time to get where you want, but keep at it man. I'm workin hard to lose my body fat and every day I look in the mirror I find more new developing reasons to keep working hard.
 
I would say your BF is around 15%-18%. You already look good. God bless that you made it out of there and can still walk and exercise.

As far as cardio is concerned, I sometimes do 70-80% of max heart rate for 45 minutes and sometimes I will do really intense intervals off and on with less intense intervals in between for 45 minutes. This seems to work well for me, because my body does not get used to what I am doing. I often do the stair climber that actually has the stairs coming down like a down escalator. I find it more challenging than the other machines. I'm a girl, but this works for me.
 
Dont be so hard on yourself bro. Your BF is no more than 15% which is normal and healthy. Try and get in 20 min of HIIT, or cardio regardless, 4-5 days a week and make protein the majority of your diet. I'd suggest all meat, chicken, eggs, etc. and salads with lemon. No bread of any kind, rice, etc. You'll be good to go. Try it for 3 months.
 
heather/ toxic thank you both for your enouragement and advice. I have access to one of those stairmasters so im gonna give it a go and with the hiit, and im gonna try getting down to an all meat diet. Never put lemon on salad but im gonna check it out.
