I won't make any excuses for you or anyone else.

I am 6'2" and stronger than the average person. My flat press, incline, and my overhead press isn't anything to laugh at...neither is my squat.

Spatts is about 5'10" and a woman...and she has benched 330 in the gym and 315+ in a meet.

Ohh...and yes I have taken both Anatomy and Phys...and did well in both of them. At the point in which some guy who is pencil thin starts to tell me that taller guys are at a disadvantage on the squat or any other power lift...I stop listening to anything that he says. Obviously...he has never been in that position nor does he have any reality on the concept of real weights on the powerlifts.

Those that constantly look for excuses...will never see past any limitations. Those that never make excuses...will always see past any thought of limitations and they will do great things.

well i train with bchamp... and i can vouch for his size/bench press ratio... realy good for a guy his size...
for me its more average @ 275 for the 5x5 ( i'm 5'9.5" @ 190lbs )

mine has gone up quite a bit since i first posted on this thread, best was 365 x 5 reps, and a 405lb single. Height is just under 5'9", weight 245-250lbs. Here is a video of the 405
405 x 1

5'9.5"
185-190
best press in a gym is 335

I used to think height really mattered(longer arms, smaller bench) but last april i went to a meet and this guy was there going for 665 and he was atleast 6'6". He was a friggin monster, his arms where like 4ft long!!!

I think bench is more of an ego exercise and gets a lot of guys hurt,, IMO. I have not done a flat in over a year and mainly just stick to incline movements. I am 6'2" and my best every was about a year ago when I did 335 for a set of 8 to 10. What my max is I have no clue. I have never really tried.
