Heavy BP Time Interval Question!

i benched a few days ago and went for a new 1 rep max (and achieved that easily) and want to know how long i should wait to go for a 1 rep max again. my training split makes it so that it will be 5 days from my last chest day to my next chest day. is this long enough of a break? or should i wait until even the NEXT chest day?
 
Id give it 7 days. Thats what Ive always done. For me, 5 days is too soon, but I also do heavy inclines on a seperate day. The recovery is definately necessary for me to be at my best.
 
for the same lift, i take a while. just because i max out on other similar lifts weekly. one week 2 board press, next lockouts, next floor press, basically i havent maxed out on a standard bench in about 6 weeks. im almost due though. i expect 310.
