Everyday is a puke day. This is how I know I have reached my bodily limits! I just make sure I eat something so that I do have food later on in my stomach

Yepper, been there, done that. Leg day for sure.

threw up a few months ago after doing squats. mainly because i was
pretty hung over from the night before, and i had a big breakfast. lots of oatmeal
and eggs. believe me, that wasnt too pretty of a sight of me puking on the
side of the road on the way back home from the gym. haha.

Twice this week! Once after Monday's deadlifts, and just a half hour ago from squats and leg presses. fueled up on two gatorades and a chicken breast right after.

why

I have countless times from legs and rarely back.

Does anyone know the physiological reason?

I suspect that it's due to the blood being pulled into a large muscle, thus less blood in the head and stomach. But, why does this make you puke?

I think it's more pronounce the larger you legs are, thus those with large quads (especially disproportionately large quads-like me) are more prone to nausea. I do squats to absolute failure, concentrating on the movement and contraction, when I am more concentrated I am more prone to puking.

Q: you that have not puked, do you have big quads?
Q: you that have not puked, do you squat?

Happy Puking and goodnight.

Never from working out, I make sure to always to do legs on an empty stomach. However, I did puke my f'n brains out once or ten times after about 15 tequilla shots, and a few more times after mixing liquors, and at least 10 times after visiting with my good buddies Jack Daniels and Jim Beam, and a couple of times..... :spit:

??

Say what??
Do you guys think you are cool because you puke??
Im sure 1 or 2 just say they puked to be on the wagon.

Anyway it never happened to me..

In ten years of lifting this has happened to me... one nosebleed and occasionally stars in front of my eyes but, I am happy to say no puking - yet.

Well, I think it's cool to have close to 30" quads. How about you? You know, that's a squat rack behind you.

I just think you must be doing something wrong if you puke!!!...That can't be good for you...

Im into arms...so I don't really care..
I squat ones a week like I train anything else...I just don't puke....Ánd I don't want legs that are 30...

something wrong, nah

People see arms, I understand your priority. My arms suck, I would rather train legs than arms, so it goes to reason. I actually like squats and I feel the legs are the foundation for the body.

Believe me, I have tried everything, every combo of food/drink on leg day. The only thing that works is slacking off-not putting 100% mentally and physically into legs.

Train on

never puked, but came real close all the time back when i did 20 rep squats. That shit always made me sick to my stomach. Heavy squats doesnt do the same thing to me...how bout you guys? 30' quad guy, do you do high reps?
Those of you that puke on deadlifts, do you do high rep deads?

High Rep

I mix it up, most workouts I hit a set for 20, usually only 315. When I do presses it's almost always for high reps.
Today IS leg day, every Sunday is legs.

Win69, you got a pic of those monsters to share?

Rugger

yep, Ive puked a few times.....its always after I do leg presses. Ill pump out 15-20 giving it my all stand up see stars and toss my cookies.

If I train a larger muscle with legs, like back, gauranteed pukage!!!! I have thought time and time again, "it won't happen this time" time and time again, I though up.

Just so you all know what causes it---When ALOT of blood is used to fill your muscles it has to come from somewhere, well it takes the blood from your stomach. Normally not a problem, but when it takes alot of blood say alot of muscle, your stomach gets irritated or something like that. read that in men's health I think.

Happy puking!!

I've hacked a couple of times from doing bicep curls and of course leg days. Authur Jones of nautilus reckons youve never trained properly unless you have puked a couple of times.

Never puked.

However, on Friday, I set a new PR on decline dumbbell press.

I did all the reps I could and did two forced reps, cause my workout partner was nice enough to show up.

I dropped the weights and got off the bench. I picked the weights up and racked them. As I stepped back from the rack, I started to brown out...

I knew what was happening, so I grabbed ahold of the bench, and got my balance.

Luckily, I only browned out.

That was a good set, I grew from it.

Once I puked in the corner of the gym. No one saw me becasue not to many people were there. We'll I just walked out. Th gym was a rip off anyways they deserved it.

Only puked once. If I feel like I'm going to puke, I slow down a bit.

I puke only when I want to lower my bodyfat. j/k I puked once after sprinting and running long distance in the same day. Really felt like puking one day after hardcore leg pressing.

frequently..on leg day..I need to pace myself when leg training. Get that nauseous feeling quickly after a heavy set. I take 10-15 mins of rest between sets,I know you lose a little bit of intensity with long breaks, but I make up for it during the set. I think Rugger's got it ...lots of blood flow to the legs...not enough for the head and stomach that makes you puke.
