It ALWAYS feels good to have your ego stroked by a member of the opposite sex; sort of a reaffirmation that "you still got it." LOL This is not gender specific. Women feel this too.
I guess if you never online dated then it may be enticing. But I am not kidding when I tell you that you might just be opening pandora's box. It really is THAT easy to find ass that is ready, willing and able. The internet is brimming over w/peeps looking to get some play and that is BOTH SEXES.
Even if you both sat down at the computer together and decided to put up profiles *just to see* because you may not understand how these sites work some sticky misunderstandings could arise. Many of the sites will spam you relentlessly for YEARS even after you have deleted your profile. Others may not allow you to delete your profile or make it so freaking complicated that you just can't figure out how to get rid of the damned thing - no joke. So now here it is 6 months later and even though neither you nor your wife has been back to site X,Y, Z but you all of the sudden one day see what is nothing more than harmless spam and you think to yourself, "Shit, I know that I haven't been back to that site for months. WTF is SHE doing there?" Meanwhile she hasn't been doing anything inappropriate but negative feelings crop up anyway. You really REALLY have to not only have a tremendous amount of trust in your spouse but you also have to know EXACTLY HOW many of these sites work.
Not only did my husband and I meet online (both of us were VERY seasoned online daters) but we were also involved with an online site for swingers and cheaters. Even though we had tremendous trust and were well experienced with EVERY ASPECT of online dating there were a few situations where we both had a bit of pause. Were we not as experienced as we were the situations could have turned ugly.... sorta like that whole
*whose been standing in MY BATHTUB when I wasn't home* scenario.
