Had some kind of flu for the past 3 days.

I don't know if it was the bird flu. Probably was since I ran over a pidgeon the other day and I eat a lot of chicken.

So the first day when I actually felt something was weird was Tuesday. No big deal. No pains or anything just felt something coming on. Started to take vitamin C like a man man and eat more vegetables/fruits. Second day was when it actually hit. Wednesday was pretty bad. Had some chills, light coughing sore throat and headaches when I coughed. Pumped up my dosage of vitamin C, started eating raw carrots/broccoli and bought cans of chicken soup. Thursday was the worst. Chills, very sore muscles, body aches that kept me from sleeping. Would wake up every hour due to aches/chills and had to piss due to all the water I was drinking. Took some cough medicine I had in the fridge and two tylenols to try to soothe the aches.

Friday the aches and pains went away. All I was left with was a sense of exhaustion. Today this morning I feel a little better. No more exhaustion, but I'm short of breath. I think by tomorrow this will completely go away and I can go back to lifting. I'm debating whether or not I should go lift today. I want to hit the weights heavy, but I'll probably just ease into it since my immune system just fought a week long battle.

Anyways I think the biggest contributor to fighting off this flu was tons of water, 4000+ mg of vitamin C a day, raw vegetables, apples, hot soothing soups, green teas and plenty of rest. The cough syrup probably helped too and the two capsules of tylenols definitely help put me to sleep when I would wake up every hour due to aches.

Did anyone else go through the flu yet? Oh and I didn't take any type of flu shots. I'm actually against it since the flu is a pretty natural occuring thing around this time.
