had gyno operation

It should be noted that there will be scar tissue buildup behind the nipple that will keep it from completely becomming "indented."

I'm having it done soon and will be having complete glandular removal with as much estrogen fingers (that extend to the outside of the chest) taken out as well.

lmao.. Your doctor told you he is leaving some gyno for apperance sake! Sounds like someone I would like to see.. What did he charge you $1500??

My point exactly.. You just answered your own question..He didnt remove the gland completely, so yes it will come back. Leaving part of the gland for apperance sake is nonsense.. Any doctor will tell you its the after surgery is the most important part.. Keeping everything tight, bandage, etc.. I have no indents, bruising, and very little scarring.. Sounds too me like your doctor wants you to keep coming back to him for the procedure.. Why not get a 2nd and 3rd opinion and see what they say? It seems you went to the first doctor and didnt care what anyone else thinks..

-allright
-apply logic
-IF there is no gland to begin with, gyno cannot occur!
-Since gyno DO occur, that means that we're all born with a lil sumthin' right there doesnt it.
-What do doc leaves behing, i'm reasoning, is what would be there naturally without our dumbasses enhancing it!

And I did my research first, sounds like someone else didnt do theirs!

And while not conclusive what does 10seconds of browsing this tell you!

what does that tell you!

It tells me you didnt research it throughougly enough.. Why work out on chest right after gyno surgery? First 2 weeks are most important, keeping everything tight with compression vest, and with bandages. Or didnt your doc tell you that? Mine told me at least 2 weeks before hitting gym again, I didnt go for almost 6 weeks.

As for your one side being more sore than the next. I had the same thing happen. My right side was more swollen, bruised and hurt more than the left. I asked my doc why, and he told me one reason is because you are right handed. Not saying this is what could be causing this on you, but thats what my doc told me.. I favor to do things with right hand, but that is normal with alot of people.. The blood clotting could be causing some of the pain/presssure too. I had some blood drained from my right side, and it felt 100x better when the blood was out..

Im not going to argue with you, Im speaking from experience and I did research this for awhile before I had it done. I am totally convinced mine wont come back.. I had 3 professional opinions, which was good enough for me..

what you have to realize is that when they do this surgery they usually try to keep the incision small, plus the gland does not necessarily stand out from the surrounding tissue like a straight guy at post-game women's basketball party. elements of the gland and ducts are interwoven in surrounding tissue and can extend well up towards the axilla armpit) beyond the region of the nipple. so even the best surgeons can miss some, it is niave to think anything is 100% guaranteed.

its gone .. and i can honestly say that it has not been this flat since i was 13-14!

Allright, while the gyno is gone, i do have some "hard" stuff just underneath the nip area, moreso in the left side(3x3cm's), the nurse said it was normal when i was in to get the stitches out 1½ week later.. fluids and such!
Anyone else experience that ? if so, when did it dissapear?
I was back in the gym after having the stitches out(the next day), even a light chest workout .. just low range of motion, keeping out of the areas where it was uncomfortable and sore.
today it's 14 days ago, and its still sore, especially the left side.
suggestions ? should i've taken a longer break ?

im interested in how much the surgery cost?

It ranges..ive seen them as high as $7500! I inquired about 6 years ago, and it was around $3000. I did mine this year, and it was $5500!

Why work on the chest right after gyno surgery. That is stupid, and yes i coulda waited longer. But the doc actually told me ONE week of absolute rest and then i could ease very slowly back into it ... wich is what i've done ... after 1½ week, very light weights and high repping, raising by a pound or two each excersise. I choose this approach based on a few surveys i did on guys like us... you know, some are back in the gym 48hours later ? (just dont go full ROM is the advice) .. so i've settled somewhere in the middle.. usually a good place to start.
Now i did have a very mild case of gyno(i see teens with much much worse shit than i had), maybe that has something to do with the recommendation from the doc .. i dunno.

And acutally it was on my left side, and i am right handed. But i see the argument as very plausable. guess its just the odds.

If you had blood drained, i can certainly appreciate your standpoint a whole lot more...

as for the removal of all the gland or not, i've been thinking a bit about that. You are in the states right ? Im in europe. It's very plausable that there's different 'schools' on the subject depending on our latitude/longitude coordinates. What may be the correct way of doing it here may very well differ from what is the right way of doing it over there.
Yet knowing how it usually works, whats right over there will, in time, migrate over here as well.
Guess it's all about playing the odd's .. even in an argument ..

BUT .. if i read about peeps getting their glands cut here in about 10 years, ill dig this thread up and give you some credit ;)

I really dont get it .. our cars are 5x the price of yours .. but our plastic surgery is ½ ... guess we got alot of docs in the wild looking to cut ppl (why they dont move overthere is beyond me)
But i gave around 1800$ in converted currency.
