Gym morons

OK,

not really got much to say here...apart from this -

I was in the gym last night and had to wait 10 minutes for the squat rack. The rack was free but a moron personal trainer had taken the bar and was showing a noob how to do a bent over row.

The PT could see me waiting. I wouldnt mind so much except 5 metres away there is a rack of fixed weight bars which had more than enough weight for the noob. Why the f*ck use the rack bar?

Also it occured to me that every time the noob had to take off the bar-clips, get the weigts, slide em on the bar and replace the clips he was using his own PT time that was costing money, when that time would not have been wasted using the fixed bars.

Is it just me? I feel like making a complaint to the gym manager and asking for some signs to be put up.

I feel a complaint would be warranted.
 
also a new thing i've been noticing people taking the bars off bench presses to do curls WTF. unless your curling more then 135, there are fixed bb's for that.
 
i used to prance around it and wait from the sidelines for people to stop being idiots, but now i confront them, and start out nice, and get buck if they dont comply.

usually simply explaining to a person how to use an alternative piece of equipment, so that you can get your workout in, works...

if you are way bigger than them, sometimes they will actually thank you for the suggestion.
 
Yesterday I was doing skull crushers with a pre-weighted ez-curl bar on a flat bench. There was also a "curls for the girls" curling in the mirror that the bench I was using is in front of.

I got done with a set and returned my bar to the rack. I was near exhaustion, and grabbed my partner to come over to on the next set I wouldn't drop the dam thing on my face. His 2 brothers and another guy came along for the ride and to mostly make fun of the gimpy, weak, old guy (me). I got the next size up bar and we all walked over to the bench where we found curl boy essentially tea bagging the end where my head was gonna go while he hammer curled 30's in the mirror.

Me: Ah, excuse me, but I was using that bench, could you slide over a bit.

Him: (not looking my way) When I'm done.

Me: I think if you just too 3-4 steps to your left right now everything would be fine.

Him: (long pause as he looks at me and 3 guys with pro strongman cards, the weakest of whom can DL 700 for reps) You bet boss.

Me: Thanks for your help.

One of the brothers: (loudly) I wonder if I could curl him?

Another brother: So blazer, you need all of us to help you with those skull crushers....

Then the verbal torment of me began while I cranked out my last set with the added difficulty of trying not to laugh as I got berated the whole time.

LOL,

I keep myself to myself generally in the gym, I have on training parner about hal;f of the time. But I know who the real Bro's are and they know me.

I think I need to get all the real BB's together and set some rules
 
I saw a new exercise that requires a squat rack yesterday in the gym. How about upright rows, with the bar only! The worst part was that he had the squat rack set up so the bar only went down to his belly button.
