Guys with ADD, ADHD....k to all

Hey guys, i have struggled with ADD/ADHD for years, since the 2nd grade.

I decided last week to see a shrink and find out about getting on some meds.

He has put me on 60mgs of a drug called Vyvanse....a time released form of aderal. I have friends that have said aderal changed their lives.

Has anyone here ever used it, and how did you like it?

i have used adderall since 5th grade. i quit taking it bc it made it extremely hard to eat and workout correctly (for me personally) it worked as far as school wise and stuff but building muscle was more important to me lol

yes. it should work fine. you will experience a few sides likely. decreased appetite will be the most obvious. inability to fall asleep. you may also notice some slight aggitation.
but, everyone is different

If you have never taken anything like vyvanse dont take two at first just start with one. They are pretty potent at first and if you take 60 mg your first time you will be really twacked and never sleep at night, I have taken lots of adderall and also lots of vyvanse. The vyvanse in my opinion are a lot better they last all day and it doesnt have the sudden crash of adderall. It will be hard for you to eat during the day when your on vyvanse however I can usually eat if I force myself to throughout the day. Once ya get home and get settled down you will be able to eat a nice supper. I always eat a huge breakfast take it then do my little meals throughout the work day. Another thing bro be careful not to drink any other energy drinks while taking these. Also drink plenty of water which you probably already do they will cause a little dry mouth. The only other side effect i ever had was cold sweats.

Vyvnase is known for being the med of choice for the mildest appetite suppression. When I used it, I never experienced any changes in appetite. Just dry mouth and frequent urination.
It is also probably the most "wee wee" friendly med out there as well. Unlike others that leave you complete limp and shriveled, you can still chug-chug across the finish line when you have to.

AAp's experience was the same as mine. I took it for 2 weeks after switching from Adderall, and it was great for two weeks, then my personality changed into a full time irratable motherfucker. I now switch it up from time to time, Vyvanse for a few days, Addy for a few days, and it keeps my attention span on point.

Adderall is four dif amphetamine salts and Vyvance is only one salt, I beleive the dextro version. That will give you the dif results. The four are there to metabolize in various stages throughout the day. The Vyvance is time released to give the same effect without the use of more salts.

my personal experience with ritalin and adderall is....
adderall sucks ass.....I wanted to kick peoples teeth in on it for zero reason what so ever.
I actually like for my add in order, wellbutrin, ritalin and adderall...the wellbutrin is used off label for add/adhd

I have instant release wellbutrin and ritalin so I can play with the dose to suit the situation...I have zero withdrawal from either. Ive only ever had a sustained realease variety of adderall and I fricken hated it.
I wish I could tolerate for the appetite supression

because i could feel the peaks and lows with the xr...and couldnt seem to keep an even keel.....i have the same prob with sr or xr wellbutrin
plus my dr trusts me to play with my dosages

Something about Vyvnase that is interesting is that the little to no appetite suppress that it has compared to Adderall is due in fact to it's aim in treating children. Apparently all the Adderall kids were growing up skinny as a rail and not very healthy over the years and docs were not pleased in the long term health aspects of it.

As I don't have ADHD I don't use it everyday. At the most once or twice a week, sometimes not at all. I took one last week for the first time in 5 weeks and was zooming along fine and dandy until about 6 PM when I took 1/2 serving of Black Powder the NO prework supp. That combined with the Vyvnase that was still sitting on fresh receptors literally blew my head all the way up to the clouds. I had about 5 glasses of wine at 11PM and still didn't fall asleep until almost 330.

so it is potent. But like all, it will fade after a few weeks as your tolerance adjusts.
