guys do u eat before sleep?

I don't have any studies off hand, but eating a high protein shake before bed helps recovery and prevents catabolism.
 
It is always a good idea because if you think about it you will have no food running through you for 8 hours. I always try to eat right before bed and right when I wake up.

Precisely, Liftsiron hit the nail right on the head.

I have a high protein, low carb shake right before bed time. Encourages muscle growth, recovery and prevents catabolism, oh wait, Liftsiron already said it. ;) :rolleyes:
 
I have a shake befor bed and set my alarm for halfway through the night and have another. Some people say I'm crazy but it works for me.
 
I have a tube that drops down from a pouch hanging from above my bed and I eat WHILE I SLEEP. I'll stick a dozen eggs in the blender and fill that mofo up and then when I lay down I just put that tube in my mouth and away we go,

My thoughts exactly. I always eat before bed.
 
You are fasting for 8 hours... of COURSE you should eat before bed... and during your sleep (wake up part way through) if you can...

I try and eat something solid... like Cottage cheese before bed... then wake up in the middle of the night, slam down a shake, and go back to bed...
 
16 oz. of cottage cheese (caesin protein) with unsweetened apple sauce keeps me happy all night.
 
to maximise growth hormone - few carbs
u want to keep in an anabolic state, so protein with some fats to slow down absorbtion and provide some fuel.

if you are doing other things `right` it won`t make u fat at all.
