Several of my buddies have praised growth hormone therapy as a way of curing nagging gym injuries. Bad shoulders, tendonitis, scar tissue etc. is there any truth to this claim?
I am 28 years old and have been lifting hardcore for over ten years. I fear that I have pushed myself too hard over the years and that my body is already falling apart. I have listed the nagging injuries below that I would desire to treat:
-I have recently had surgery for a torn labrum.
- I broke my ankle about six years ago and it has never really recovered full range of motion.
- I have tendonitis in my right elbow that prevents me from performing barbelll curls.
- I have a slight tear in my leg abductor for the past two years that I keep retearing. It will repair itself as scar tissue, but when I run or try to do squats it starts to beother me again.
- I am also suffering from cervical spine pain, an injury originally sustained doing heavy dumbell shoulder presses.
I have done physical therapy for all of these injuries and this has reduced the pain and discoomfort in most cases. However, I have not achieved a full recovery and will from time to time experience a reoccuring spasm. The problem is reduced if I avoid certain exercises, but who wants to go through life without being able to run, squat, barbell curl or shoulder press? Not me.
My question therefore is "Do you think growth hormone treatment will heal any of these injuries for me?" If
so, how much should I take and how should I take it?
Thanks guys.
