Am I the only one who was impressed with how Forrest has progressed as a fighter?? I mean he actually looked like he knew what he was doing the whole fight...Very smooth..Dont get me wrong he did have a couple flurries in there but definantly improved IMO...

i thought forest could have done better.....i am a big fan, but im not sure how he would fair with some of the big names. I hope im wrong. I wanted to see him finish bonner.

Really? You're not sure how he would fair against someone like Liddell? He would get knocked the fuck out.

For sure...I was just pointing out the fact that the whole fight didnt consist of him throwing wild haymakers...He looked a lot more poised and mature as a fighter..He definantly has a ways to go...I would like to see him and Tito go another 3 rounds...

rashad evans showed what a good wrestler will do to bonners standup as he smoked him and if tito would have shot more against forrest and tried to take forrest down like he did shamrock he would destroy forrest also. only a select few can survive with just the standup game. chuck is one because his takedown defense is the best.

I do think he has improved, but he does have a long way to go before he could even think about a title shot. If he keeps surrounding himself with good fighters though, he is well on his way...

He even admitted on the microphone after the fight when he is done his closing the eyes and ducking and swinging wildly, then he'll be ready for a title match. I think he has a lot to learn.

I personally thought he won the Ortiz fight.....

save the last few socnds of the last round - Ortiz could not even take him down...Unanimous decsion??

No way

the ground and pound won in round 1 gave tito the fight, forest lost.

I agree with Round 1.......I stated that it should not have been all three rounds though

that's why I like Forrest
it's nothing to do with him as a fighter, but he's so damned HONEST

as for his improvement yes I agree
he has improved a lot
I think Stephan needs to consider altering schools
it's not that where he trains isn't any good but I think he's gotten all he can out of them it's time to move on

second point, I'd like to see Rashad fight Forrest
Rashad and Forrest both have Decission wins over Stephan so it's a natural fight
I think Rashad would walk all over Griffen

yeah Stephan definantly needs to change schools...He is way behind the power curve...I looked so hesitant that fight..Like he was afraid to let his hands go.

I noticed that to
the first fight Stephan pushed the whole thing the second Forrest was the one almost constantly moving forward
it's possible that the loss of Gracie had a bigger impact on Stephan but I think it is time to try other trainers anyway, people can settle into a groove, it dosnt mean his trainers arn't good but different trainers would see different weaknesses he has to work on and improve

really? because I think Rashad SUCKS ASS!! I was not impressed in the slightest with his win over bonner.....nor his TUF win. The guy is strong and can take someone down....after that he's useless. Both of forrests wins over bonner, while not "that" impressive, were way more impressive than rashads win. Rashad has no ground and pound...and no standup. Forrest will be a conteder before Rashad.

well I notice this a lot, people usually don't get impressed by Rashad, and that makes people (other fighters) kind of overlook him
but he wins a lot
I mean I'm not saying I think Rashad is some MMA-second coming of Fedor or anything like this, but I think he could take Forrest
in my opinion Rashad should work on submission defence and GnP as his win style but really he'll do fine if he works it like Chuck
striking and avoiding the ground, or if striking is looking pretty even he can just land a takedown, score a few weak shots even to get in the judges head that he did SOMETHING after the takedown, then stand it back up
an unimpressive win still keeps a loss off of your scoresheet you know what I mean?

umm, yeah but who else on the planet can hit like Chuck?!?

you mean in the light heavy weight class right?....cause there's a couple guys in pride who are scary.....tyson in his prime scary.

you're right. If they fought right now it would be close.....I'm still under the impression that Tito had a really off day, that's why he couldn't take grif down. But a Tito on an off day still has better take down than rashad.....if Grif can sprawl Rashad, his striking is an order of magnitude better. A similiar match, and I similiar only because of the styles involved....would be Liddell/Randleman

well wasn't Liddel Randleman a bit short of a match to draw many conclusions from
other then the already obvious conclusion that it is bad to get hit by Chuck

by like Chuck I didn't mean 100% carbon copy of him
if he avoids the ground and keeps it striking and edges the other guy out in the striking field for a decission win that's still a win

a very true statement.....I just used that fight as an example of what a vastly superior striker with an excellent sprawl can do to a wrestler.

if the striker is superior enough the wrestler dosn't even get to test the striker's sprawl heh
but I'd still work the sprawl instead of counting on that
