what were you implying? Different school cost different amounts of money, so naming a different figure is arbitrary. You implied they were not worthy of current funding, and by saying "ghetto" I assume you also imply they are doing poorly.

Private schools and charter schools in a given state always cost less than public schools per student. When a student transfers from a public school to a charter school or a voucher-accepting private school, under normal circumstances, the public schools keep the difference in funding. This means more money per student in public schools, while reducing their overall funding.

I'm all for spending money on schools but the earmark B.S. that these a-holes are pulling needs to stop. Welfare needs to stop, food stamps, et all. If you are needy you should be able to get into a work for subsistence type program. NOTHING should be given away. If I see people in wheelchairs going to work they why can't others?
Punishment for violent crimes should be swift and final. Broadcast it on TV and make it public. Violence will go down. Prisoners should be allowed to riot, and have gang wars inside. I'm ok with the gaurds picking up the mess when it's over. We should not pay for anything for prisoners. The family of the prisoner should pay the state to keep them alive. No pay for your convict, no food, no a/c, and certainly no college education.
