gotta be nuts not to run krill on cycle

I get elbow pains quite often when I lift heavy. I also have bad shoulder, one of which required surgery, the other cracks when benching. I started using Omgea 3 at about 7000mg per day when they are hurting, along with glucosamine and advil. The shoulder cracking is still there, but not painful, just annoying.
On heavy lifting days Ive now begun to supplement for preventive reasons, to not get pains. In the morning I do 2000mg Omega 3, 1tbls Glucosamine liquid; Preworkout is 1000mg Omega 3, 1 advil; Post workout 2000mg Omega 3, 1tbls Glucosamine; and before bed 2000mg Omega 3, ZMA, and 1 advil if they hurt(usually i dont need it this on this regimen, except maybe on Bi's/Tri's day).
Do you guys think Krill TS would be able to replace this entirely?

^^^ do not ever run anti-inflammatories, they are a death sentence.

when you get inflammation that is your body reacting to an injury and healing itself. when you cut off the inflammation with advil/ibuprofen you are basically running a car engine with no lubricant, it may work in the short run but in the long run you are screwing up yourself bigtime and creating more damage. now if you are 65 or 70 its one thing as you might as well drug yourself up to avoid the pain, but if you are in your 20's or 30's there is absolutely no reason to ever run an anti-inflammatory unless you are truely dieing from pain or just don't care if you cause long term damage. (trying to win an olympic gold medal or something)

as for the krill oil yes i do believe taking a double dose of krill can easily replace all that stuff you are taking. i would give it a shot. most of us get 0 good omega's in our diet. and its not your fault, its just the crappy american diet and the crappy foods that we are fed growing up and at restaurants. the krill oil is a wonderful supplement to add and a MUST for anyone who lifts heavy.. and NTBM's krill is a damn good price, you won't find anything better at the health food store with the same quality. thats why i order it every other month

Thanks Steve, I never thought anti-inflammatories caused problems like that. It makes sense the way you described it.
I think I will give it a shot. Even if it doesnt help, at least I would know.

^^^let us know how it works for you. you should start feeling a difference within a week or two.

try not and mess with anti-inflammatories from now on.. let ur body do its thing.. nothing wrong with taking a few days off from the gym if you start getting inflammation. this is why pro athletes have offseasons, they let their bodies heal up and recover. as bodybuilders we have to learn to maybe take a few days or even 2 weeks off just to let the body catch up or avoiding going heavy for a while and doing high reps at lower weight. we are probably the most stubborn athletes of any sport lol.

also make sure and visit the massage therapist and acupuncturist atleast once a month to keep your muscles loose and of course stretch

well i can tell you my gf suffered from knee pain when she played tennis. i put her on the stuff and within days her knee felt much much better. and now i get her a bottle every month.

my dog had hip issues and the vet put her on fish oil/glucosamine and it took a few weeks.

so i think it just depends on how severe the injury is. wouldn't surprise me if you had pretty quick results. also make sure to get other omega's from omega cage free eggs, olive oil, and avocado. but krill oil is definately top notch, you will notice salmon oil is half as much price for twice as much product.... it is weaker and if money is tight they can go with the salmon oil... but for those who are willing to pay a little more krill is definately the way to go and it has way more health benefits then just helping the joints. since krill feed on zooplankton its almost like you are eating a strong dose of veggies when you take krill.

but please wait till i get my bottle before ordering :evil::p

Thanks Steve, I will order it. In reference to the Omega 3 , my girl friend and I grill Salmon 3 to 4 times a week and I eat the H(*& out of eggs.

I will have to check this out Steve, I suffer from shoulder pains when I lift heavy and this may be the key. I went 4 weeks ago to GNC and bought basically a fish oil capsule. I have not noticed anything different though. I will order this if you say it works. How long does it take to kick in, so to speak? thanks Steve

be careful with fish oil. I forgot who, but a group tested lots of brands to find out if they had mercury/pcbs/heavy metals. Brands that don't (sorry if Im not suppose to post this) are Barleans, Source Naturals, and Carlson. Even brands like Twin Lab, Natures Plus all had garbage in it. I have talked to there reps about it too. I am sure there are more, but those are the major brands.

Krill is awesome stuff, works great

^^^absolutely that is why its best to get a high quality krill oil.

most of the salmon oil you see in the store.. heck lets be honest, 99% of the supps in the store are underdosed and cheap crap. NTBM products are top quality which is why you see them out of stock so often. we do NOT let quality suffer when a product sells fast and go the cheap route to make sure we have things in stock, we are patient and wait for new shipments. thats why NTBM has 99% customer retention, meaning 99% of people who buy NTBM come back again.

This is so true. A lot of brands will put that each pill is 1000 mg, but the epa dha is around 300 total. That is crap, and that means 700 is actual filler/stuff doing no good for the body. Always look at epa/dha to see how good it is. Or like steve has said, just buy good quality krill oil. Who likes fish burps anyway
