I still remember the goths from my HS. Nice bunch of pale people who kept bumming smokes from us. Except for when they wanted to be recognized as "different". Then they got annoying.

OK, here it is, the guy that started it all. This is the original goth dude's yearbook picture taken in 1988. Keep in mind that you can't see his fingernails. The nails were like 2 inches long on one hand and painted black. The nails on his other hand were normal and not painted. He's the one in the middle in case you're a little confused.

Our clique never liked goth people all that much... although they often associated with us. They just weren't at our level. We were all about being metal, and them goth folks just weren't metal enough.
