Got my lab results back. A couple of questions ...

I only had a few items out of range on my tests which included liver, kidney, cholesterol,

Result
BUN = 24 (reference 6-23)
Creatinine = 2.0 (reference 0.3-1.5)
Cholesterol = 119 (reference 140-199)
Monocytes = 18 (reference 4-12)
Platelet Count = 122 (reference 130-400)

Is there anything here that would warrant not starting a cycle? WTF with the cholesterol? Low?!

Don't you mean "creatinine", which is the by-product of creatine? If yuo've been taking creatine, your creatinine level will be high, which it is.

The other values -- don't know. I'm not a doc.

The BUN is kidney to much protein not enough water(maybe)

Creatinine look to above post

Cholesterol what is your HDL
And what Total CHOL/HDL Ratio did it say.

Of all the above, the most concerning is creatinine of 2.0. Heavy weight lifting can increase your creatinine. Creatinine is the by-product of creatine in your muscles being broken down. But high levels could also mean problems with your kidneys resulting in impaired clearance of creatinine in the urine. Your serum creatinine should be followed up.

Sorry for the F-up on the creatinine thing ... I was thinking I messed up when typing it later on last night ... just had creatine on the brain wondering if that had elevated it since I was using it at the time of the test.

The Cholesterol Section:

Cholesterol = 119 (desirable 140-199)
HDL Cholesterol = 40 (27-75)
CHOL/HDL Ratio = 3.0 (0-5)
LDL/CHOL, Calculation = 71 (0-129)
LDL/HDL Ratio = 1.78 (1.27-4.62)
Bicarbonate = 28 (21-30)

The test was for kidney, liver, cholesterol, thyroid, and electrolytes. I didn't do any testing for estrogen or test.

At the time of the test I was drinking at least 1 gallon of water a day so I don't think it's lack of water although I could have been dehydrated during the test (don't know if that matters). I also fasted for at least 10 hours before the test, which was recommended.

Hey Milkbone. Your cholesterol profile looks good. Your HDL could be higher, but your total cholesterol is low and your LDL is great. When did you do these lab tests in relation to a cycle and what were you on? By the way, at leat based on your BUN/Creatinine ratio, you definitely do NOT appear to be dehydrated at the time of the testing (your BUN would have been much higher)...

from a lab tech...

Hey Bro all of your tests look fine. The ranges you posted next to your results are the "normal range" results based on that labs particular standard deviation results for the area population, this changes slightly from geographic region to region. Your cholesterol panel,"lipid panel", looks great, I would monitor your hfp and bmp results, liver and basic metabolic panels, annually so as not to draw attention. Just keep taking your herbals when cycling and drinking adequate water all the time, min. 8 glasses; up to 1 gallon min. when cycling.

First of all, many thanks for the feedback.

To answer the what was I on / had been on question: I was trying fina for the second time with winny for the first time. I had to abort the fina again at about 1 1/2 weeks because of PR / prolactin side effects (nips). Anyway, I went out drinking one night while I was on the fina/ winny and was just paranoid more than anything about liver values. I had been off of everything for about 1 week. I'm guessing 1 1/2 weeks is not enough time to start seeing many negative effects, but I decided it best to go ahead and get a baseline to go by before trying the fina again. BTW, I was taking 1200mg ALA and a shitload of cran extract with a minimum of 1 gallon of water ED.

In regards to the kidney profile, when I was a teenager I had blood work done to go on Accutane. They didn't like something with the blood tests so they sent me for a urinalysis. After having the urinalysis, they said I had a small amount of protein in my urine. The urologist looked at the results and okayed me to go on the Accutane. I just wonder if for some reason I'll always have these out of range values for a kidney profile ... although they don't seem to be too far from the "normal" range.
