To be blunt -- you were wrong, and probably commited a few crimes:
Why?
BECAUSE -- anyone who works at a car wash will tell you that SOMETIMES people (really nicely dressed white people) will wait for the owner to go get a coke or be occupied -- and they will smile, walk up, and take the car and drive off. Guess who's responsible?
The CAR WASH! Because they didn't ask for the receipt.
There's a REASON they were asking for it. If they give the car away to someone else, and the owner gets SUED and loses $25,000 -- guess who's LOSES THEIR JOB! Yeah, those "small mexicans" you were fighting with.
Dude, they were just doing their job PROTECTING LEGIT CAR OWNERS. You should've looked at it from their side, and them actually protecting your car. To clear it up -- you should've asked them to talk to the cashier.
Either way -- you commited assault against employees, who were doing nothing more than doing their job, and preventing a possible carjacking on their premises. Since you didn't follow by the rules (saving your receipt) they had every right to keep the car there until ownership is proved.
That's like going to a tow truck and punching out people and taking your car out.
Just be glad a cop wasn't in the area to pull you over at gunpoint.
You owe those workers an apology at least IMHO.
btw: Many thousands of cars btw are stolen in this country from dumbass valets. Something to keep in mind. hehe.
