Good MP3-type player to use while running/riding bike?

I think I lost mine. Anyone got any recommendations? Key importance is small size. I don't really need more than 128 MB, although I am tempted by the Walkman NW-HD1.

I have a mini disk player. A guy in Okinawa owed me money he didn't have so he traded me his mini disk player. They got for about a $100, hold a shit load of music on one disk, and don't skip at all.

I now have an iPod, which I love because it hooks into my stereo system in my apartment and in my car, and I can take it to the gym and anywhere else, and have all my music with me. I usually put it on the treadmill while I run, rather than clip it to my shorts.

My first MP3 player, which I got about 2 yrs ago, was an RCA K@zoo! It held 64meg internally, and had a memory card slot (where I had a card with an additional 128megs). Very small...about 2"x2.5", an inch or so thick, very light. Cost $77 at Wal-Mart. Worked very well. That's probably something like you're looking for. I still use it on occasion when I go on long outdoor runs, since it is so tiny and light.

I've used my Nomad MUVO for a year or so. It has 128mb (while I never worked out longer that the 128mb worth of music- "2hrs", the more MB the better if you don't want to spend a few minutes each day putting new music in before heading off to the gym).

The lighter the better.

Also, be careful running or biking outside with music. In the gym it fine but be safe outside.

iRiver makes some GREAT mp3 players of all sizes. I have one that is about the size of a muvo but holds 512 MB. I think I paid around $250 for it a year ago.

I figured out what I want - an Ipod Shuffle. 1 gig, size of a pack of gum, $150. Should be out soon and will push the price of everything else way down.

I have the Sandisk 1 gb MP3. It allows USB connection with no software to convert files back and forth. It also has built in FM and Playlist.

Basicly the same features as the Iriver but cheaper on Amazon.com
