Amy Adams did a seriously classy move Friday.

The actress gave up her first-class seat on a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles to a soldier she saw onboard. Jemele Hill of ESPN’s Numbers Never Lie witnessed the event and documented it on Twitter.

Adams, whose father was in the military, settled into a coach seat for the flight.

"Ms. Adams did it so quietly and quickly that it speaks to her character," Hill added. "And somebody in coach just got a helluva seatmate!"

We had one connector flight which was short so we didn't pay for the extra leg room and he was dying. I can't imagine a longer flight crammed in! It's so worth the extra $$

I'm usually pretty friendly on flights as I like to fly as long as I have xanax, I think it's fun. I did yell at some guys once. They were idiots. This was directly after the plane crash last year in California forgot where, anywhere they were talking loudly about it and it was making me nervous and hadn't associated anxiety with flying in awhile and I was getting pissed. Like, really? How rude is it to discuss that shit on a flight? Loudly. I finally had enough and I yelled at them to shut the fuck up. The flight attendant looked at me sympathetically and saw my clutched bottle of xanax and told them enough as well. Morons.
