Good beaches/party scenes in New England?

Hey bro, I am from New England. Some good beaches to go to? Well, the Cape is always a pretty good time. Right now wouldn't be a bad time to go either because the tourist season isn't at it's peak yet. There are beaches all around and some decent bars towards the middle and end of the Cape. You could alway go to Nantucket or the Vinyard for a day if you want to live the nice life for a bit (not really a party place, but relaxing), the ferry rides pretty cheap too. Hampton sucks, it's cheezy and full of young people, but then again I haven't been there since I was 13 or 14 (haha). Newport, Rhode Island is nice as well, rich area (nice mansions), and pretty good beaches and a decent day time bar crowd. I haven't been to Portsmouth, NH, but I hear that is ok as well.
