going to bars and clubs ALONE

I just arrived in a foreign country and really want to go out
and check the clubs, bars etc.... but dont have a" wingman"
as yet to go out with.. I feel like such a loser going to the
bars by myself, what do you guys think.. ?
 
Don't be such a pussy. I go out alone all the time. It's easier to pick up women without a sidekick if you are not too self conscious.
 
I've always been very successful when going out alone. If you have social skills and can carry a conversation without help it's a lot easier to pick up alone. Also, you won't have to worry about being cock blocked by a jealous, spiteful, I hate you because you have game and are successful with women friend.:D

definatly not a problem...Go out alone and when ya get there find someone to buy a drink for and hopefully you won't be alone anymore.
 
Yea, don't be so self concious going out alone. I do it all the time. All my friends are married, so they rarely go out anymore.
 
Just make sure your not hitting on somebodys girlfriend. I went out 3 weeks ago by myself and had that happen to me. Almost had to fight 4 dudes, and would have surely got my ass kicked. I guess thats a big downside of going out by yourself. Besides that it was a good night.

Fuck go for it dude I bet a lot of the woman would be intrigued by a foreigner-provided you can at least say a few words of their language-and may take you in. You know how they are about grooming us.
 
you will have a great time, after a few beers/ an hour at the bar you will have lots of friends

just dont act like an alcoholic and sit there making love to your tonic and gin
 
You have way more chances of picking up a decent chick. When in a group, chick(s) are usually too afraid to make an aproach. When you are alone and you know how to carry on a good conversation with a girl, you'll score in no time. Just about any social setting you go to. That is , of course, if you are decent looking.

Yeah, seperating from your friends once you get in is a good idea...but not actually going there alone.

Why not alone? It won't hurt your chances of hooking up with chicks. Usually when you talk to chicks it's just you anyways, and I don't need the competition by bringing guy friends..

I'm not saying being with the girl alone is a bad thing...but actually going there alone? I wouldn't do it.
 
That's true. Not the best idea to be in a club without backup.

Really? I don't feel that way at all. Actually, I prefer to be by myself a lot of times. Large groups of people intimidate me.

This just happened to me this weekend. Most of my friends from highschool are still into smoking weed all the time so i dont hang with them anymore. One of my buddies is like a hermit, and my best buddy who is down for anything is away at college.

So anyway, im over at my hermit friends house and he is at his computer as usual playin everquest or some shit. I get a call on my cell phone from this girl i havent talked to in a while. She informs me that her and 5 of her friends are going to this bar. A bunch of people had graduated that day so i knew there would be a bunch of people there. So i tell my friend the situation, tell him i will drive and just have a couple. He says "oh im sick". He pulls shit like this every weekend. So i go by myself and had a great time. I say screw it man, if you have to go by yourself go for it. Just dont get in a fight.
 
When you think about it. Once you get in the club you´re really kind of by yourself anyways. Nobody stands right beside the dude they came with and just talks to them all night. That would defeat the whole porpose of going to the club in the 1st place.
 
for me though I just like having someone to talk to when I first
get there, be able to have a laugh etc... I am told that I look a bit
unapproachable at times and if I stand by myself with a smile on my face or heaven forbid laughing to myself it would look kinda weird
 
I love going out alone. Has its awkward moments and nights but it can be fun.

Only downside to this is if a fight happens to break out you got no boys to back you up. Not that you can't handle your own, but chances are your opposition may travel in a group.

Whatever you do, don't sit at a table..
If available, always choose the bar to eat/drink etc....

Lowers the Lonely look
