how many of you guys with girlfriends or wives go out and leave them home alone and not call or come home untill you feel like it?

I use to be like that a couple years back, I would go to the same bar every weekend, awesome place to hang out. My girlfriend at the time made the comment " why dont you move there or get a job there, looks like you spend more time there than at home on weekends.. ". So for once in our relationship i listen to her and i have been a doorman there ever since.

If i _ever_ live with someone, on a relationship basis -- i am clear from Day One, that this will NOT in any way, involve me sacrificing or limiting *any* of my freedoms.

I refuse to have a relationship where i feel boxed in, or start giving up freedoms. And i wouldn't expect that of the other party either.

Relationships are based upon trust. If you don't have it -- you don't have a relationship. Just an arrangement where two people are merely hooked together by straps.

And it's only a matter of time before they start to move in separate directions and the straps start holding them back.

Therefore, in relation to your question -- no. I only call at 7am; only to ensure they are not worrying that something happened to me. Not for "check-up" purposes.

My idea of "going out" never involves bars or clubs though.


Basically what Razorguns said - If I couldn't have my own freedom I wouldn't have got married.
