I guarantee that you would have an entirely different view if this happened in your country. Also, reread what you posted. How would you like it if someone suggested that it was your countrys fault that thousands of its own people were killed? Maybe then you'll have a better understanding why I was so ruthless in my response.
BTW I am normally a live and let live type of person, but this has surfaced a Rage from within that won't go away any time soon.

Anabolix - I have seen some ridiculous posts in my time on this board but that takes the fuckin' biscuit - TURN THE OTHER CHEEK??? are you on drugs other than A.S. are you aware that all Afghanistan has to do to prevent an attack is hand over Bin Laden which they steadfastly refuse to do because he inherited well over $130 million from his fathers estate before the Saudis kicked him out and he is using this as blood money to train terrorists and pay the Taliban regime to do exactly what they are doing - protecting him yet when Afghanistan was invaded by the Soviets the C.I.A. helped Bin Laden arm and train the Afghans to defend themselves which is why the Russkies want to see Bin Laden hung out to dry as well!
This is why Bush is pissed, because Afghanistan along with Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya and the Sudan are providing safe havens for terrorists whose only aims are to try and destroy the west! Not only is it virtually guaranteed that Saddam Hussein played a major role in Tuesday's outrage but the bastard actually had the audacity to go on T.V. and gloat and to try and tell the American administration to think before it acted for once - this from a man who ethnically cleansed thousands of humble tribespeople like the Kurds with Mustard gas - talking of which are you also aware that the Mossad are virtually certain that Bin Laden possesses at least two pounds of Sarin nerve gas which next to VX has to be the scariest substance on the planet one teacup of which in the Jerusalem water supply would kill EVERYONE in the city and IMO the only reason he hasn't used it so far is for the same reason that the Iraqis didn't use biological or chemical weapons against the U.S. in the Gulf War, because he doesn't fancy getting nuked!
The Iraqi foreign minister Tariq Aziz admitted to the world that the the ONLY reason they didn't go ahead with their threat to use Anthrax on coalition troops was because the then U.S. Secretary of State - James Baker "reminded" him that the U.S. was a nuclear power so I hope you'll forgive me if I say that I hope nobody with your views on defence ever gets into power until terrorism is totally wiped out if that is even possible! Surely even in Brazil you must have bullies and therefore you must know that the only way a bully will stop kicking your ass is when you use force to stop him because it's the only language they understand I mean are you really trying to convince New Yorker's that if your city was nerve gassed or something that your only response would be to hope that the perp goes to hell which BTW wouldn't be much of a deterrent if he happened to be a Muslim!
One last word, although I don't know much about the complicated and highly volatile world of Middle Eastern politics I do have an idea what I'm talking about when it comes to terrorism because I live in the heart of Belfast and the fact that I am only 35 means that I have only ever known violence and conflict and it's always the same story the world over a small minority fighting a war "on behalf" of people who in reality want nothing to do with them or their methods and who just want to live and let live! The Muslim religion is based on tolerance which is why every right-minded Muslim has denounced Bin Laden and BTW amongst the 5000 dead there is estimated to be at least 50 Muslims who were "sacrificed"!

One more thing I have to agree absolutely 110% with BigDaddyScout - Special Forces inc. the S.A.S. is the way to go but Bush has a first class administration behind him and I'm sure that they also realise this although I could not see them using mercs! As for Iraq, Saddam Hussein has something like 60 palaces so I hope they blow the shit out of them but he is going to be a very hard man to track down as he has the entire Republican Guard as a personal security service!
