My test levels were low and I got some test. I have cycled before but never seriously considered long term HRT. I basically went to the doc because I had LOW LOW energy and my test was way down. I have been on a HRT+ plan for 10 weeks and off for 26 days. I have taken some HCG along the way.

I stopped just because I am only 33 and the thought of a maintance dose forever just seems unrealistic and I didnt want to get too shut down.

My question is:
Should I start back now and do another 10 to 12 weeker and then take another month off or am I just being paranoid about getting bad shut down.
This question may seem silly or it may seem dumb I stopped but all I know is cycling not replacement stuff.

Yes it was a clinic. I had a hard time with my ill informed doc.
250 mg a week test blend (50 mg prop and the other longer esters).

How long can I take at that mg range with out significent shut down problems?

thx

My reaction is strictly about injecting test for the rest of your life at the tender age of 33. Make damn sure that you want this or need it. Should you say Yes, then 75-100 mg a week is plenty. And you can simply justifiy it as needing something extra to be in the better part of the range.

Once that is established, you can do cycles and have some fun.

THere is this FANTASTIC clinical biochemist in the UK (now retired) who was a specialist consultant in endocrinology by the name of Dr. Mike Wheeler.

He has done work and studies on bodybuilders, specifically those that have taken steroids.

I have been to several lectures by him, he is quite amazing and well-informed.

He is now running an on-line forum called andropause or andro forum.

You could check out any information on that site.

Just because you ran into one ill-informed doctor, it does not mean all of them will be this way.

I am assuming you are in the US, and you have medical insurance, I would look around for a good endocrinologist.
