Glute injection pain

Had my 3rd pin last Thursday. The first 2 were sore for a couple of days nothing too bad. My last pin was far more painful and still is. I aspirated and no blood but when I pulled out there was blood in the syringe and started to feel the pain just after. There is no redness or swelling but the pain is bad. Has anyone had anything similar or knows whats went wrong.

Sounds to me like you went through a vein on ya way in, blood can build up and comes out when removing the pin. Nothing to worry about if it is. As long as you aspirated not a problem. Just keep an eye on it.

Yea I had something similar just happen. My left cheek is sore as hell! And I pinned it last monday. Cant wait for.tomorrow because is time again on tht side. And I mean its sore still where as the right sode I did thursday and its feels fin.

Happens to me quite often, especially pinning the quads, but it has happened on the glutes before. Nothing to worry about, Bro, you prob's just went through a vein on your way to full depth into the muscle tissue and going through a vein hurts for a couple of days.

dont worry about it bro...some shots can be painful if you clip a nerve,pass thru a vein...move the needle too much...inject too fast...blah blah but it usually calms down after a day or 2.

what are you pinning ? is it prop ?

How did you get your pins if you don't know what gauge it is? Sounds to me like your needle size is too big. 23g maximum, but 25g preferably to inject with. Are you drawing with a different needle? That could also be your problem with pain. Never draw and shoot from the same needle
