girlfirend wants to know if one binge cheat day a week will effect her progress

sorry for all the girlfriend questions, she will be joining soon.
she is on 5mg anavar a day and her protein is 225 a day and carbs at 100grams a day.she cheats one day a week and usually binges with 6 slices pizza, eggplant parm and like 8 cupcakes.
her goal is to try to add little muscle while staying cut.
will this one day effect her progress.she is already very cut 5-1 105 pounds very low bodyfat.thank you
and i promise she will ask her own quesions soon, she wants other womans advice so i said id post it for her.thanks again
 
A cheat MEAL won't hurt, a whole day might, depends on her metabolism. My best advice (hey it's free) is that she should try "smart" cheating. Keep the fat very low (no pizza) and carbs high. So something like pasta or potatoes without cheese/butter, low fat ice cream with Hershey's choc sauce, jelly beans, or maybe even pizza with that low fat cheese, hold the salami. Low fat cupcakes can also be yummy!
 
Once a week -- often on tuesdays when Buffy's on -- I split a pizza with a friend of mine. I usually gain a little, but my trend is down, so what the hell.

Like Spatts said, refine your cheats. I still eat the half pizza, but I found a place that does thinner crusts with less, better cheese. Costs a little more, but I feel only about half as shitty and guilty afterwards.
 
Everybody is different and if she's been doing this all along and
it's not effecting her then heck go for it if this is a new thing well i can honestly say those cupcakes would put me in a coma...
 
True! eight cupcakes sounds more like binge eating to me. I totally missed the cupcakes the first time I read the message. I guess I just stopped at the pizza, since that's my biggest temptation. six slices and eight ccupcakes sounds more like serious binge and purge eating disorder eating.
 
The funny thing about asking if you can have a cheat day is that it seems SOOOOO limiting when you are asking about it, but when you really get the diet / training schedule moving along, the thought of extra food, heavier food, etc. just sort of makes me sick to my stomach. My tolerance for sugar, etc. drops dramatically and I end up feeling like shit, regardless of how long I've fantasized about that piece of pizza or whatever - even if its part of a social outing that I'd been planning for all week.

It just doesn't seem fair sometimes..... ;)

I think the one thing I've consistently enjoyed the most is a good steak!
 
I agree, Sassy! I go out for the meat, when I wanna cheat.

Even a big ol' hamburger is good. And protein like ya read about, too.

And if you can lay off the fries, you're hardly cheating anyhow.

There was a time when my favorite cheat food was sushi! It was all about the sticky rice. mmm-mmm

My trainer at that time always knew when I had the cheat meal. I was very "round" in the face.

Enjoy a cheat meal just don't go overboard.

She can't expect to be as far ahead with an entire cheat day like that. Some women cannot afford a cheat meal, some need it... It is going to be different for everyone... I need that cheat meal, but I rarely take it...

If she does decide to do just one cheat meal, then make sure she does it right. She could have a cheat meal, but before she starts binging (which sounds like a eating problem to me), make sure she drinks a protein shake first. This will slow down the release of insulin in her system, and will also help fill her up quicker so she doesn't turn to a dozen cupcakes. Or if she takes an entire day, split the cheating up between meals... Protein first and the shit as her carb.... Keep an eye on her... if this day isn't hurting her, make sure she isnt' running to the bathroom after she does this.. that's an aweful lot of food and its just plain unhealthy to binge like that.
