Heres my deal I'm 23 I used to train like a mad man. I did 2 small cycles that I saw great gains from. Then I blew out my ankle. I lost 43Lbs(190-147) in the 8 weeks followin my surgery. I was in a hard cast for 9 weeks and a soft cast for 3 weeks. Then I did PT for 6 weeks. After all that was over I could walk but still didn't have very good strength. So after about a year I got good strength and stability. But I seem to have lost some of my motivation, but mostly I dopn't know where to start to get back in to shape. I want to start slow because I don't want to tear or damage anything. So I guess my real question is what a good 4-8 week program to do that I will see some results from but won't tear anything up. Because I eventuly want to get back to doin a couple small cycles a year.

I hope all that made sense, If not I'm sorry.

Thanks in advance
Jay

Im in the same boat, but without the injury. I got a girl and got lazy! Bump cuz all my motivation seems to be gone!

I wouold say for a few weeks, just do some basic light exercises and let your body get used to lifting again. You will be pretty sore at first I bet. Bench, squats, deads, pullups, rows, maybe some curls and a direct tricep exercise. You could even just start out doing pushups/situps for a couple workouts to get going slowly. just go lighth and after a couple weeks ramp up the weights and once you feel good, get on a routine like a 5x5, HST etc..
