General Motors, you can have your POS truck back!

yeah, but that's not really an out though. The vehicle manufacturer is ultimately responsible for the quality of it's vendors' parts.

WP is just a piddly little part. Even if it's wasn't replaced under warranty, which I'm sure it was, I couldn't judge the overal quality of the vehicle from that little part failure. Now when my mom's new Audi blew it's tranny at 30k miles, THAT kinda soured me on the make altogether.

all mfgs supplying parts to the auto industry are iso 9001: 2000 certified. . .there is no higher standard. . .

I bought a honda that has 276,000 miles on it... Drives like a gem. Had the mechanic check it out and he said good car... I'm gonna try and break Al Bundy's record.

47,000 miles of normal driving, routine maintenance, etc and the WATER PUMP FAILS???? This is supposed to be a work truck for crying out loud! You can have your cheap ass, over priced, pile of shit back any time you want it. So much for trying to buy American. I'm going back to Toyota!
Foreign is the way to go!!!!
Just sayin.

i doubt i would take a huge financial loss just because the water pump died....

labour for a water pump is the real killer. I think the actual water pump is like what, $30?

seriously, labor is a real bitch...You can buy a part at a part store, then get a refund when you bring the old part back, however the labor is just too high. I just had an alternator put in my car and the quotes I was getting ranged from 250- 360 and the part is only about 92 dollars then you get a refund when you bring the core back. Luckily I have a family friend who owns a garage that gave me a good deal.
