GD.. I hurt my back squatting

Started back lifting. I used this piece of shit thing called a "Manta Ray" and felt a twinge in my back. I worked through it and finished my workout. My back has hurt for 2 weeks. I haave not been able to workout. It sucks. I could barely cut my grass
 
that sucks, i always had more pain squatting with a high bar, once i switched to lower, it all stopped.
 
manta ray wtf is that>? isnt that the thing thats supposed to make squatting easier? why did you use that piece of pussy equipment?
 
Damn that sucks. I hurt my neck, of all things, squatting once. It took about a month or so to heal but it was the best squat workout i've ever had to date so it was worth it.
 
the manta ray is supposed to keep the bar in a good spot. My sisters husband had it in the garage and that is where I was working out (they have a gym garage). When I saw the device I tried it..ooooops. NEVER AGAIN. piece of shit. Just use my traps for cushions
 
'bout 3 weeks ago. I slipped but caught myself in the squat cage with 450 on my shoulders. It's gotten better but still hurts and I haven't done deads or squats.
I wear a belt ever session now.
It's gonna take some time to heal. God speed with the healing.

damn that sucks. sorry about your injury. i didnt mean to imply thatyou were a pussy or anything.
 
No problem smurf. I didn't take it that way. I never wear a belt. I have DL over 600 and squatted over 500 and no belt. I don't like them. The day I hurt my back I felt naseous but kept squatting. I hit the top of my lift. racked the weight and threw up. I caught the barf in my hands and took it outside. threw it in the bushes, hosed off and waited for my next set.

yep..I am hard core..i think. I do not know many peeps who throw-up in their own hands and deposit it outside and keep squatting
