While I was raised Catholic and technically still am Catholic,

Based on what you say you believe (or don't believe) you are in no stretch of the imagination a Catholic. So why do you cling to that label?

Liberal, Secular Humanist would be more appropriate.

By associating your belief toward gay people having AIDS, you're just trying to have a reason for calling gays "unhealthy" when anyone can get it. .

Listen this time: I said AIDS is prevalent in the Gay community much more so than in the hetero community in the US. Do you deny this?

I don't think I gave you anything to make your point. You're assuming that being homosexual is the same as being an alcoholic. They both may be genetic, or have some hormonal inclination, but if it is a "learned" condition, then why can't some people "unlearn" it?

You would think a recovering alcoholic, once he/she "unlearned" their trait, would never go back to the bottle again.

If Mr Paulk "unlearned" his homosexuality through the church's ministry, why was he sitting in a gay bar, having drinks with other homo's?

The learning didn't take? If it didn't take, would more extreme measures, like electroshock therapy, work better?

Shall we return to the 19th Century to "re-learn" some of these people?

Isn't it just acknowledging that we are all tempted to sin, but should make every effort to refrain from it? Also, committing a sin doesn't mean you're condemned. All humans sin.

I was raised a Catholic & was forced to practice Catholicism by my parents.....

I have not renounced my "faith" nor have I joined another religion, thus I am still technically Catholic. However, I don't believe in all the stuff they forced down my throat during all those years I spent in Catholic school (grades 4-12). I don't cling to any label, I was simply stating a fact...

BTW, I am a registered Republican.....

Oh, and I don't remember calling you names, etc, so let's not start with that.....

I did not call you names, I just described the thoughts you have put out here. I am sorry if you don't like being called liberal, but that's what your views are.

I don't mind being called conservative, that' exactly what I am.

Why haven't you renouced your faith? You already said you don't believe the Bible is the word of God. It sounds to me like you have already renounced it, just for some reason don't want to admit it to yourself.

How thick it is of gays to fight to have it legal, do they want messy divorces so they have to pay out of their arses (pardon the pun).
