You never know what youre teasing could do..look at this model..she even lost it and its sad

NEW YORK (AP) - Natasha Duncan, a plus-size model who had appeared in Seventeen and other magazines, apparently committed suicide by stabbing herself several times in the neck, police said. Duncan, 21,slashed her throat with a kitchen knife Saturday in her East Side apartment, according to police. Duncan's roommate, fellow model Johanna Edelberg, told police they were smoking marijuana when she went to listen to music in another room. When she returned to the
kitchen, she found Duncan's body, police said. Duncan was with the prestigeous Wilhelmina agency, which began its plus-size model division, catering to larger women, in 1994 Duncan had appeared in several magazines, including Mode. Duncan's family reportedly told police she had been depressed. She did not leave a suicide note.

Now this is sad that an individual is made to feel like shit by a society of people who are striving to acheive physical perfection and then when they come up just short start beating down those who are not like them. The Crab bucket theory takes another victim.

what makes it worse is that she was with the modeling agency for plus size girls and doing all these jobs (seventeen, mode, etc.) but there was still a "but she's fat" stigma attached to her and she couldnt get away from that.

haunted her. and she stabbed herself in the fuckin neck...now see why I posted on that thread about Garza to not take it that far and to chill out on that?

this could happen to anybody..it just takes just a little bit to push some people over the enge

I don't get it.

Are you insinuating that she killed herself because people were teasing her about being overweight? She could have been depressed for any number of reasons. The MJ might have been the trigger that pushed her over the edge.

Um, my friend in the modeling agency emailed it to me..she is with teh same agency as this girl who killed herself..they all knew how unhappy she was about being a "plus-sized" model..she wanted to be like the rest of the girls..the skinny fashion model type..

and even the other models gave her shit about being a plus-sized model..

I know this is why she killed herself bro..i was told by a close source

I think women do get shit worse then men...

Men make fun of fat women
Women make fun of fat women

Men dont get that much shit from women, or from other guys, but I feel bad that women get pressure from everywhere..peers, media, friends, family...to look skinny or thin and stuff.

I feel for this poor girl..

damn. that's a painful way to go. I hope for her sake so at least was less painful she was on something.

I used to have a really terrible opinion towards fat people. I ran 10 miles every day, did weights, ate well, and was young.

now I'm still relatively young, but I took two plus years off from running and put on a nice layer of slob on my body.
it made me see the fact, that somehow I missed before even as obvious as it is, this could be any of us.
once you get into the spiral of not working out, not feelign like it, eating a ton of good tasting stuff... it just adds the fat nicely.

I'm now trying to get out of that, and I was never even close to fat, but in my eyes was a lard ass, still am a bit, in comparison to what I used to be like.

garza, if I'm not mistaken, is a high school kid. all I can say is, wait until you are 25-30 and your metabolism shifts a bit.
then wait till you hit 40.
I predict a fat fuck.
enjoy it.
