Fun night at the gym

Scotsman

New member
Well the night went a little something like this.

Squats

bar x6
135 x6
225 x5
315 x3
365 x3
405 x3pr

Never done three reps without a belt and I haven't squatted over 335 in a year so new pr. Should be doing reps with 500 in about three weeks.

Leg press
700 x8
900 x8
1100 x8

Iso rows
300 x6
600 x6
800x10
800x10pr

Never been able to do two sets before that heavy

Iso pulldowns
300 x5
500 x5
700 x5pr

First two were pretty easy then had some help for three more

Shrugs
400 x8
500 x8
600 x8 plus a hold on the last one

Pretty good since I lost about three pounds from sweating in a tux at my friends wedding over the weekend.

Dinner
1.3 chicken breasts
1/3 of a box of rice-a-roni
1 large chicken burrito from q-doba

All in all a pretty satisfying night.

Cheers,
Scotsman.

Nice job Scots... Three weeks? Jeesh, I better get on the ball.....

Thanks everyone.

Becoming- I was squatting over 500 a year and a half or so ago so this is just me getting back in the game again I want to squat over 700 by years end.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I didn't stop completely I just wasn't squatting heavy. Thankfully I haven't been seriously hurt in several years now. I travel extensively for my job and then work 12-20hr days, often in remote areas where gyms are difficult if not impossible to find. Also I moved and lost my training partners and most of my motivation for a while. Though i now train with my brother and have great motivation and some pretty ominous goals set so I am getting back after it and making progress like never before.

Cheers,

Scots- Seems like me and you are in similar situations (me wanting to get back to 600 immediately and 700 ASAP) I too have been out training partners, etc. Seeing your progress is definately a motivator...

Thanks again everyone.

Hammer- what is a pr without the fuel consumption afterward. Only people here cheer on more eating....I love it

Becoming- glad you find it motivational I never really think of others benefiting from my lifting but glad someone does. Hopefully you will get up there again and maybe we'll get to train together at some point.

Grimm- I am eating my wheaties today so you had better get ready for hell tonight at the gym and the buffet.

ffknight84- thank you and you are more than welcome.

ohh, I lift more than scots man on somethings and less on others. He's not only my training partner but my little Bro as well.

later.......

Grimm

Great GRIMM now people know who you are. In case everyone was wondering he is the older and larger portion of the brothers GRIMM that we call ourselves.
