Free Testosterone, What does it mean?

I am going to get my bloodwork done, definitely Chem-20, Total Test and thinking about Free test but it is expensive because I am going to do this three times in the next 4 months.

What exactly does Free Test tell me in terms of cycling AS? I know the scientific definition, just wondering how beneficial it is in suggesting further usage, dosage etc. Is it that useful?

In reference to bloodwork, what can free test tell me about what I need to change, do etc... I am asking for its significance in changing my PCT/AS Cycling proticol, not simply a dictionary definition. Basically is it necessary to get Free Test checked or is Total Test sufficient. Thanks guys!

It means extra testosterone your source sent you by mistake ;-)

Seriously, free testosterone (T) is bioavailable testosterone that is not bound to a carrier protein such as SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) hence it's available to perform the function you want test to perform, namely to enter cells, bind to the androgen receptor, and increase protein synthesis.

Most of your test (total T) is bound and is thus not bioavailable, which is normal. Too-high levels of SHBG levels can reduce free T even though total T is normal.
