I think when an animal has hip or joint probs they prescribe it to them. There are doctors still out there prescribing to humans. I found the back way to locate the docs that are and I can tell you how.

^^^ yea I know eq is prescribed for some kind of hip problem, but I forget what its called. I've always been curious about getting a script from a vet myself.
