ahhhh, the irony here.... a man, a once upon the time card carrying union man, who got his start in political life by serving as the president of a union (SAG-Screen Actors Guild) who did his level best to bust unions and everything they stand/stood for.
amazing how some people forget their roots once they become rich.
I don't think his decision was about "forgetting". it was about a bunch of baby-la-la's not wanting to go to work (providing an essential service) and keeping travelers hostage. This was out of line.
He asked them to go back to work and they refused. So he fired them. Like any good boss would! ;-)
Unions still have a purpose but in many cases they go too far. Ford and GM is a perfect example.
Now management is to blame. Dont get me wrong, they screwed up with so mnay decisions, so many 2nd grade products, stuff that cant compare to most japanese cars.

in spite of what kids are taught by their college professors, most of us college graduates will be working for someone else for a living....not being featured on the cover of forbes or newsweek.

100% incorrect. College professorrs tell you that you WILL be working for someone else. I've never had any professors paint a sweet dream for you
where you will be a millionaire entrepeuneur. Just doesn't happen.

I still remember being in grade shcool and being told that we'd never amount to as much as our parents did.
I have found that most of the people I know that work for themselves do so because they can't work for others - sink or swim. That said, where I live you can barely get by working for others - jobs are few - the pay sucks and the expenses are high. Again sink or swim.
It's easier to be an employee - easy to bitch and moan all week long and get a check at the end of the week.
I dont think so. Toyota's prices have been pretty stable for the last years. They own a good chunk of the market, their name and reputation is there so no need for them to make cheapo sales like GM and Ford does.
between toyota and honda dealers, i'm not sure which are bigger greedy, oppertunistic rip off artists.
AAP, i would suggest buying the toyota model you want over the internet...www.autobytel.com has worked for me twice so far...this way you can avoid the excessive local dealer mark ups, various useless fabric and paint protection packages and all the other bullshit that dealers tack on cars to make excessive profits off you.
