Ford lost 12.7 BILLION dollars in 2006... how will that affect me buying a Tacoma?

geez, ok. this is what you do. you want to get a low ball price on a tundra? then go to http://www.edmunds.com/tmv/new/2007/toyota/tacoma/index.html and then pick out a model and then punch in your zip code. then you will fill out the info. then you will have 4-5 toyota dealerships fighting over you. they will email you and tell them what you want and that you are looking for a great deal. internet shoppers usually get the best prices. you should also shop at the end of the month too because that's when you get the best deals. to all you cheap bastards out there who want to nickle and dime a dealership then this is the way to go. go ahead and reverse crush the dealership and salesperson.
i've purchased my last 2 new cars this way. :artist:

i kinda feel sorry for car sales people, because dealerships still find ways to make good money. the salesperson really gets screwed hard. they have to make a living too.

So you're asserting that companies are just greedy, soul-less entitites that will do anything to make a buck, correct?

Then those poor managers must be getting screwed. They don't have a union to "protect" them.

They do! Everyone could use one. I'd laugh my ass off watching one car salesman walk me through the lot, another do the test drive, another negotiate the sale, and the other one get paid just to shake my hand as I drive-off the lot.

And I'm sure no one would pay for all that featherbedding via higher car prices either.

20 or 30 years from now, when you are rapidly approaching retirement age, your viewpoint on pensions may change.....

I know this post is old

but pensions? cmon man

you'll get one cuz you work for the government

my parents will get a pension because they started working for a fortune 100 company in the 70's

there are no pensions anymore in any non gov companies

30 years from now people won't even know what a pension is unless you work for the gov.....

shit got realistic all of a sudden for EVERY company.....

Ford whines like this every so often. Ford still has more money in reserves than any other US company. They like to whine as a power play against the union. I don't know how it will affect the price of a Tacoma, except that if you marry me I could get you a big discount on the A plan, because my dad retired from there.
lol
have you seen a ford stock graph over the years?
it's not a game, they are losing cash faster than cal loses his trousers at a gay bar
