Depends on how you are when you are high. With some people, you would never know they are high because they can just be natural regardless of the situation. Others are flat out schizzo's when high.
For me, I dont get high if:
I'm at work.
I'm at school or studying
I'm working out.
I'm Partying (weed is not a party drug, it works opposite of alcohol)
I'm around family members that respect you for not smoking despite their not knowing that you actually do.
Pretty much, you shouldn't smoke anytime you think you'll hurt yourself physically, bring down your work or make you less respectable in the eyes of others. I say the last one because while you may have decent justification for why you smoke and even though it isn't that bad of a deed, some people still dont understand it and you gotta maintain a normal composure for them when it's you think it's required.

I actually like being high around kids, it makes me more patient and willing to talk and try to understand them. So I don't see that as a problem.
I don't generally look high or act high so I ahve no problem being high in front of my parent either. And I actually drive better when i'm high 'cause I'm not as aggresive.
I used to be the kind of guy that got more focused on tasks when high. I used to smoke before going to class, before going to work, etc... but somewhere, somehow I just became unable to fully concentrate on tasks that needed indepth thought or attention. So I generally don't smoke during the week anymore (because of work, classes, gym and other things that require motivation). I try to only smoke on the weekends now, when there are only trivial tasks to do, like do laundry, buy groceries, etc....

I really think it depends on the individual. Like Caesar stated, how does the person act when they're high? If they're the kind of person that looks and acts pretty much normal, then there wouldn't be many cases where it would be "inappropriate"Smurfy said:
are you worried about it being around your kid? As long as he doesn't know and/or ask you "why does so and so act weird sometimes" then it shouldn't be a problem.
Somwe people are cool little fonzies when they're high, some people are morons when they're high, etc.....

Before church. Before a test. I rarely do either but I'll usually blaze before a family gathering to fully enjoy and indulge in some good home cookin.
