On the contrary, I'm the only one with my name. And there's only a handful of people with my last name as well. What I'm saying is that, the customs does not flag THAT many people and it pays off to flag and search people by names even when there's multiple names. You have to realize that a search by customs does not mean that your stuff will be seized. I've had plenty of packages (non AAS related) searched and they still made it ok. They will generally have a sticker noting that it was searched by customs and by which officer.
