i ordered some gear from an overseas website 10 years ago and my shipment was seized by customs. i was young and naive and did not know about elite at the time. i was scared sh*tless and never even thought about ordering again but now a buddy at the gym has been ordering from overseas and making great gains and i am jonesing to place an order but i am still freaked out. so my question is this - i don't live at the same address any more and that was like 10 years ago but is my name still flagged by customs?

Thanks guys. i know a lot of guys prefer domestic but i don't want to have to go through the risk of getting scammed by an unknown source - i wouldn't even be considering a cycle now if it weren't for the fact that i know my buddy's supplier is legit. so you think i am ok with customs?

I think youre "ok" but there is obviously always an inherent risk to importing. Domestic is the way to go if you can find a source that you can trust, which there are many of. However if you are super concerned about it, why not just offer to pay your buddy a lil extra if he will order it for you since he doesnt seem to give a fuck anyway?

Domestic source you can trust? I've got a good foreign source but I am having a hard time finding a domestic I feel comfortable with. New to elite anyway so I would expect a legit guy to hold back. The ones that come to you when you join or over-advertise, no way.
 
I never got flooded with offers of sources when I joined. Maybe I don't look as though I work out.

I understand that the US is especially vigilant these days at customs. Just spend some time reading around on here. I'm sure you'll find some decent referrals that you can verify via secure mail with a trusted mod.

Yeah, it just takes time to find and then establish a relationship with a reputable source. But once you do, you will be thankful

Just to bring this thread back on topic, am i flagged by customs forever, even if i am at a new address and the letter was 10 years ago?

East coast - NYC area - but my buddy orders from asia, so not sure if it would enter u.s threw east or west coast...
 
I agree domestic is the best idea. It may not work for you though.

Just give your bro some extra cahs to get you some shit. If it works out, there you go...

I wasnt flooded with sources when I picked up my posts here, just one so far.
Stick around, make friends and smart posts and a good domestic source will work itself out for you.. I speak from experience with the good squad of bro, Vets, and mods here..

Why do you think this is true? I've only been scammed once in my life, and it was in 1998 from someone on the east coast. Out west I'm working with someone who provides better service than Nordstrom :)
 
i heard the way to do it is you can get a fake id made on a website (sorry i forgot the site).then open a p.o. box at a place like mailboxes etc, i heard they have 24 hr service so you can go at night and scout the parking lot out when they r closed except for the p.o boxes themselves. hope this helps

never went domestic, but really want too. I guess we will see. scamming sucks!
 
You will be fine. If you get another seizure notice, it will not be because of it being flagged 10yrs ago.

Just throw away them stupid notices.

ive never had a seizure in that sense, but about 7 years ago i was returning for a "backpacking" tour of europe and i had a hash pipe with me, apparently the dog sniffed it, in vancouver international airport, soon as i picked my bags off the baggage carousel these guys in gestapo black were all over me.

arrested me right there in front of the whole plane and the next 5 years i had to go through the hassle of customs checks whenever i left the country. however, i did not get in any real trouble .

Yea, you could get a fake or have a friend set it up, but it is a seperate address so I wouldn't worry about it, They flag the address, I don't think they flag your name because I'm sure there are other people with the same name as you.

Not really. I believe when they flag you, it just means your stuff gets searched. If it's clean you'll still get the package.

Look at your name in the white pages, or type your name in yahoo. There are a lot of different people with the exact same name as you

I had a seizure 5 or 6 years ago and still use the same address. Not to mention i had a pack i never picked up sent back to a sorting center cus the return address was obviously not real. Never had a problem. The internationals i use i actually have more confidence in then my domestics.
 
Too many scammers in the domestic business and the prices are too high. Ive only used 2 domestic sources and both of them ended up scamming.

On the contrary, I'm the only one with my name. And there's only a handful of people with my last name as well. What I'm saying is that, the customs does not flag THAT many people and it pays off to flag and search people by names even when there's multiple names. You have to realize that a search by customs does not mean that your stuff will be seized. I've had plenty of packages (non AAS related) searched and they still made it ok. They will generally have a sticker noting that it was searched by customs and by which officer.

but In the gut , feel that one IS flagged forever.... ( maybe not 10 years ago) but def NOW

Not to bust your bubble but your not that important to be watched/flagged for 10 years. This whole make a friend on EF freaks me out. Send money via western union to a stranger and place an order via email thats sounds like bust waiting to happen. But I quess that could be fear of the unknown. I used to be weed dealer back in my younger days and we used overnight 25-50lbs of weed all the time with like a 99% success rate. And people thought I was crazy. So maybe ordering domestic is not the crazy. BE CAREFULL
 
Whats up with this secure email shit like the FBI or the DEA can't read your SECURE email it might be more secure. But if there on to you there on to you. Please shed some light maybe I'm not computer savy. Common sense tells me the feds can always read your emails if there trying to.
 
My Domestic source just raised his min order to $2K. I like the service and the products but I don't need $2k worth of stuff every order. I am not Pro nor do I want to be. Any advice?
 
2K min? Thats pretty hefty. Sources that seek you out are like the first guy in jail you meet..stay away from them, lol.
 
no need to even repeat it, domestic. dude, there are literally hundreds of great sources. i try to use the same 3 or 4, just in case one washes on me. good guys do go bad from time to time. oh, and don't sweat it. the biggest drawback to ordering your gear int'l is shipping time and broken amps......grrrrr! domestic prices are really about the same in some cases!
 
Why don't you have the package sent to a different name??? The package will still arrive to your address. Problem solved.
