jdid is this just because I wont go easy on you and do bodyweight bench? Because before you sounded pretty happy about it. Why not just do it the day or couple of days before your planned deload week? That way you have a weeks worth of deload workouts to follow and aid in recovery...

Tblock Ill include you and gladiator in the thread I make in the next day or couple of days depending on jdid's response...

lol that's not why at all. I am not afraid of losing and could give 2 shits if you beat me on benching 135 or deadlifting 225 or squatting 185. I was thinking about doing that, but i am still not sure if i'd want to do it this early into my 5/3/1 since i am going balls to the wall each workout, i want to be fresh.

I'll tell you what; If this doesn't work out, I will try my ass off to get a camera the week i go for my 1RMs and we can have a 1RM contest if you'd like. Right now, hitting good 1RMs means more to me than the competition and i think that sticking with the program i am currently doing will be the best way to get there.
 
Ok, we'll have to hold it off for a few months I guess then. Besides I wasnt really looking forward to puking from squatting 185x25 ;)

Hey gladiator I have a change to make to our challenge:

Instead of 225 for deadlift rep out, let's do 315. Also would you be interested in a 1 handed deadlift max and a weighted pullups 3 rep max?

im down brotha. 1 handed with straps? on pullups ur chin has to go over the bar. wanna do a 225 rep out on bench too? lol jk

Yeah 1 handed with strap. Yeah for pullups your chin has to go over the bar and your arms have to lockout on the bottom so it's deadhang. We could do a 225 bench rep out, except I'd get like 6 or 7 lol not much of a rep out;)

Do you want me to start the thread right now for the challenge?

EDIT: Also what would you think about using straps for 2 handed deadlifts, it's just that on a rep out like this I don't want to be worrying about grip strength and once we get past 10 reps it will be hard. I'm going to be doing the deadlift part today, so I will video it and post up a video. I will video the contest in sections, so Monday will be squats and pullups, etc.

gripping the bar is part of the exercise bro if you can't grip it anymore then that's it your done, just because your forearms have given out before your back or legs doesn't make a differance, your only as strong as your weakest link...

I know but the main reason I want to use straps is because it takes a lot of the focus off my tendons onto my wrists, and my right ring finger tendon is injured and I want it to heal. My right hand grip strength has been crap because of this injury.
