Fish Oil vs. UDO's Choice

depends on what you are looking for

i take both

fish oil for my arthritis and allergies plus for benefits regarding heart, skin and hair

udo's is not perfect but is a great source of omega 3 and 6
 
They feed fish oils to farmed salmon. They say it's not safe to eat salmon anymore. So this raises questions about taking fish oil ourselves.
 
i prefer udos... namely for taste and the fact that it contains a proper ratio of oils so I don't have to do any guesswork...
 
DHA and EPA, but the sources for those acids is sorta contaminated with PCB's and such...not all though. You get em from cold water fish :P. Udo's didn't want to put DHA/EPA in the mixture because it's sensitive to processing and it tastes awful.
 
I use UDO's because I eat at least one can of sardines per day. I agree avoid farmed salomon. Recent studies suggest they are highly contaminated. Also most but not all fish oils are also very contaminated. Make sure what ever fish oil you take that it has been tested and is low in contaminants.
 
Damn it seems like all the shit we used to think was healthy now has something wrong with it nowadays :-\

Can't have albacore - mercury!
Milk - too much sugar!
Pasta - bad on the GI!
ANPB - uh oh alfatoxins or whatever
Salmon - looks like they fucked that up too
Fish Oil! - who knows!

*sigh*..

let's just remember that most of the stuff we choose is 100 times better than mcdonald's and BK..

at least that's what I try to keep in mind.. I'm already scared of the unhealthy stuff.. if I have to be scared of the healthy stuff too.. then I'm screwed!
 
Both have their advantages
