First post here.. help please..

Hello to all!

I've been browsing here for a long time... this is my first post though.

I've been training for 3 1/2 years. I started weighing about 170lbs... right now, I'm at 230lbs, pretty solid until now...I just moved due to changing jobs, and now I'm down south. My diet sucked for a bit, but I'm finally getting back in the groove. I've gained about 5 pounds in a month, and it can't possibly be all muscle.

I've been contemplating trying the 'alternative' route for a while now, and I'm set on at least trying it... most likely, it will turn me off, and I'll be back to what works... however slowly...

Probably the wrong thing to post here, especially my first post, but my email is [email protected] if you have any suggestions on how to proceed on my little experimentation process...

I've done lots of reading so I know at least a little about the subject... I'm not totally ignornant, just tired of being stagnant... patience is a virtue, but it's running out!

well first of all congrats on ur first post :p

secondly i was wondering what the rest of ur stats are, height and bf? u said u were 230 and pretty solid so i am curious.

well the final decision comes down to u, on if ur gonna run them. u've said u've been training for 3 1/2 yrs and from the sounds of it made some great gains. So keep up with the good work.

i'm also curious as to what u are thinking about running if u decide on using them?
 
I'm 72", or 6' exactly, however you look at it... BF last time I had it checked was 11%... right now, I imagine I'm pusing 13%. The BF stats are suspect considering they're all resistance... but regardless... I could see at least 'some' of my abs 2 months ago, but now I'm running out! I prefer the 'mass' role personally... i have no desire to be cut or anything.. just BIG... w/o belly!

I have preferences as far as what I would like to try... and the entire 'take this' to 'avoid this' kinda confuses me... but despite that... probably winstrol or deca.. I can't imagine a 3 week cycle or so of either of those would mess me up to the point I would be worrying about gyno or anything... like I said.. I'm in the purely experimental phase... I tried the 'legal' prohormones once, and never tried them again... just not enough gains for what you're paying... pricewise as well as as real world gain wise.... I just happen to think the not quite legal way might be worth a try...

I know my body, and how it responds to virtually everything... except for a few certain things... but it's not like you can pick them up from a crack head or something... just a hypothetical question... I'm not dumb enough to think it's the answer, but I would like to at least be able to make a judgment on it...

Hell, it could put 10lbs of lean mass on me in a month, but piss off the GF and it wouldn't be worth it... kinda like... Umm... I'm gonna do it regardless... but what's the best way to try?

Think twice....

You want to get huge but not cut. Okay, that's doable.

However, consider what you're messing with. I started using gear a couple of years ago. I went from 197 to 179. Of course, I also went from over 25% BF to under 10%. Now, I'm pretty much staying off it.

WHY? I got decent results. I've got good definition (trying to get better), but my vision was to be a hulk at 260. Well, it wasn't happening. Realized 6 months ago I had fast-twitch muscle. That means I can get ripped but not huge as compared to someone with slow-twitch muscle. My buddy is the latter and though we can curl the same amount, he has 18" arms and I'm just over 15". So, I'd have to take a lot more juice (2,000mg or more) than I've been taking lately (810mg/week) to get bigger. My last cycle just didn't produce outstanding results (maybe 4-5 lbs over 5 weeks), and it's a HUGE economic drain (my current gear cost me $100/week) if you don't have the money.

So, I rethought my goals. I do want to hit 200-210 someday soon, but I'm focusing on being ripped and defined (sculpting). Not a single woman at my gym thinks I don't look outstanding (and they don't know I've used gear). Some guys I see who are bigger also have a large pecent of BF, and I don't think it works for them. They're huge, but they also have a potbelly and little-to-no definition. So, for my goals, using gear isn't a necessity.

You also need to think out the medical and legal risks you're taking just to use gear. They vary from person to person, but they are important to consider. It sounds like a little bit of gear (15mg of Dianabol/day) could produce good results if you are as big as you are without having used gear, but still...there are risks.

Also, as you are 230 already, consider how much bigger you really want to be. I'm no expert here (wish I was), but once you hit the 240-250 mark, being that big can be a hassle, and if you let up training for other life activities (job, family, etc.) you'll loose it fast. Sometimes, molding what you have at a current size (I figure you'd drop to 200 if you loose fat) will make you look 100% more impressive than packing on another 20 lbs of mass that's part fat.
