Hello to all,

I feel like I know a bunch of you very well already. I lurked under the handle FrozenGold for a year and a half, hoping I could get to a point in mylife to start getting fit again.

A little about myself.

I am a disabled vet, from 9/11. I will tell more about when I feel comfortable speaking to the group about it.

I am 6'4" 265lbs age is 40. I had back sugery over years ago and it was a blessing and a complete cluster fuck. The blessing was I couldnt walk more than 100 yards without my legs going numb and falling over. I was very close to being paralyzied. The cluster part it took 9 months to recover and it took 9 years to get to the point where I could start to be active.

When the injury happend I was 6'4" 240 in good shape. Up until december of 2011, I weighed in at 305 and in horrible shape. I decided that 10 years was enough to lose to those bastards and started to fix the problems.

From reading on here and just not wanting to be in the shape I was I ttok action. December I started to get my diet in order. In March of 2012 I weighed 285, not bad for just getting ride or soda and fast food.

Then I started to do a stationary bike for 2 months and some lite weights, mainly just triceps, biceps, chest and ab work. I am going slow with trying to add lower body, still have some fear of how the back will react. Anyway, I am know at 265 and feeling great. If I miss a workout I am seriously bummed.

My goal is to get back to the 240, but instead of good shape I want to be in great shape.

I do have some questions that I cant get the answer from other threads.

So let me give my stats and gear at the moment. The is for treating low t, so I am wondering if I can add to or increase what I am doing to help with my physical transformation.

Age 40 weight 265 Height 6'4" Goal is 240 and solid.

Currently I am taking:
Test cyp 200mg/ml 1ml per week
Anastrozole 1mg tablet per day
Lipo-LC (B12 and lipotropics) 3ml injection per day

The above is what has been perscribed to me by a doctor for low-t, and the Lipo-LC for an energy boost.

So here are some questions

I have been on the Test cyp for 12 weeks, the doctor tells me I should take it every week forever to my test levels in the range she wants. Is this ok? Do I need to cycle off for a while?

Is there anything I can add that would help in my transformation? I have a ton of the Test cyp and could increase it or just add other supps to help.

Hopefully, I just didnt babble on and not give enough information. I just bought the platinum membership and want to continue to learn and hopefully add some postive things along the way.

you have to decide if you want hrt for life.. or if you just want to cycle.

if you are on hrt for life.. you dont come off.. you just stay on..

i kinda think some of those dosages seem off but everyone is different so you have to see what works for you.

can you do squats, deads, benches... etc etc.. or can you list what you cant do.

also if you list your diet you can get some great advice on tweaking it for max results.

Welcome to ELITE!

If your doc suggests staying on, then stay on. 200 a week is on the high side. You can try 100 or 150 and see how you feel. But you won't get in shape just working biceps , triceps and abs. Look into a full body program and you'll do much better. Good luck.

Hockeynut welcome to Elite. Keep up the good work. I'm 42 myself & recommend that you look into peptides and/or Hgh. At our age they give great benefit.

Thanks for the info guys.

I can do dumb bell squats, just havent tried throwing the bar over my shoulders yet. I can do all other types of exercises. Just have to get the bar bell squat fear out of my mind.

I will be posting more on my progress as I start new things. I am seriously trying to shed the fat, 40lbs so far.

Mainly, my work out consists of stationary bike for 1 hour each day or 500 cals burned which ever comes first, then some ab work. I add in the upper body a couple times a week just to get back in the swing of things.

This has been a 10 year journey to get to this point so I dont want to over due it and throw it all away.

Squatzilla,

The place I get my Test cyp from will give me the HGH. I wanted to see what if anything the Test cyp would do for me. The HGH that they have is expensive and they said it takes 12-16 months to notice its real effects.

I dont know anything bout peptides, so I will have to look into them. Any pointers for peptides?

if you want to burn fat one of the best things you can do would be to do
squats, deadlifts, bench press, military press

you could just do 1 lift per day. just add that to your routine and you will notice a nice increase in fat loss.

lifting weights and building muscle both use up a lot of calories

you can look into wendler 5/3/1 as it is a very low volume approach to increasing those 4 big lifts.

good luck
