The stupid thing is that they are told they are being tracked via GPS.

And they still try to get away with it. I've had probably about 10 of these situations in the last 6 months.


DT - Our reps are assigned a specific area (usually a city). No business reason for being in FL instead of Iowa

Yeah, she didn't do shit. They get paid an hourly base rate + commission. Apparently she was trying to get paid her base pay for partying it up in Florida the entire week.

They have to report their hours and how many sales calls/presentations they make and how much $ they sold each night into an online application - she reported average numbers all week, including sales to several businesses in Iowa - which is impossible....and fraud.

She was a recent hire (within 2 months). Her sales numbers were leading us to put her on straight commission within a week. She knew this, decided to say fuck my job, I'll try to get some free money for the last week I have a base pay coming, and go chill in Florida.

She can call Iowa over the phone. Point is she reported face to face sales and physically being present in her assigned territory.

Worse yet (well sort of), if these were sales that were from a previous period and moved into this one; then she hit at your team's productivity.
