Like many of my friends, I’ve known for quite some time about the fact that Chick-Fil-A donates millions of dollars of their profits to organizations such as Family Research Council, Exodus International, Focus on the Family, etc. The names of these groups sound harmless enough, but they are anything but. These are groups that not only actively try to prohibit gay marriage; they help fund groups that want to make it legal to be fired from your job for being gay, groups that want to deport gay citizens out of the country and groups that support legislature intended to legalize the execution of gay people. Harmless, indeed.

The point is, the guy didn't come and say that he hates gay people when this whole thing exploded, but that's how it was taken ou to fproportion.

The one problem I have with the gay people is this very thing.

If you don't agree with their viewpoint and they automatically label you a bigot, a hater and a horrible person when that is a completely unjust conclusion to arrive at.

This whole thing hits home a second time for me. I'm mormon, and our church was attacked viciously after Prop 8 passed, even our ward houses and temples were vandalized. Every mormon was automatically labeled a gay-hating bigot and they started saying that the mormon church teaches you to hate gay people. On the contrary, if you know anything abour mormon doctrine, that couldn't be further from the truth. Yes, the LDS Church supports traditional marriage(The released a worldwide proclamation almost 20 years ago on this very subject.), but not one time in all my years at church or at any time in the history of the church was anyone instructed by the leaders of the church to single out a certain group of people and act hateful towards them because of a difference in race, gender or orientation.


Gays get very angry with people if you don't support their viewpoint, even if you don't say anything negative about them.

I could go on the news tonight and say "I support traditonal Marriage!" and put my e-mail address on the screen. The next day, I would wake up to 10,000's of e-mails with extremely hateful things written in it towards me without eve rhaving said anything bad about anyone else. Gay supporters act that nasty.

I have family and friends that are out of the closet. The thought that I hate them has never even crossed my mine. That's ridiculous.

Personally I could care less if the Geighs marry each other or whatever. But if they have the right to be gay and proud then people have the right to follow their religious belief and thinks its wrong. There are bigger issues here and this is just Smoke screen shit to turn peoples attention away from other stuff. People love gay controversy. And by the way Obama has donated and supported several Muslim groups that by their law In Their countries stone gays to death. Had an article in the paper about a while back how these youths have to hide in fear of being stoned to death. And as for donating their money.....Fuck its their money. If i want to give it to starving Africans, give it to scientology weirdos, peta, or whoever who cares....as long as I'm not directly funding terrorism or warlords spreading genocide then I'm fine.
