Finally got my accutane!

Well I'm officially on accutane as of today. Went to the dermatologist and told him staright up the situation and he persrcibed accutane for me without hesitation.

I have been holding off on my next cycle until I saw the derm so he would give it to me but I didn't think about the checkups everymonth after I got started on it.

I guess I'll have to wait a couple more months to hit my next cycle:bawling: but at least I'll be ready to hit it hard once spring comes and my skin is looking spotless! I'm so glad I finally got it, it's been about 4 months of useless anti-biotechs and waiting to get in with the dermatologist. The shoulders, back and chest will once again be perfect:D
 
Becareful bro, I used this stuff before. Lots of sides. Dry as hell skin, sore back etc. Make sure you get some petroleum for your lips as they will crack really bad. Trust me. good luck.
 
The dermatologist gave me a multi-pack of skin care products to combat the sides. Lotion for my skin, special soap, eyedrops and nasal spray.

How was your acne after you used it? Also how long were you on it for?
 
What dose did he put you on? And did he say for how long?

Also, you said, you told him the situation "straight up," but you will have to forgive me, but I dont remember you situation, am assuming that the acne was AAS related.
 
Yeah It started acting up the worst after I did I Prop/winstrol/masteron cycle last summer. I just said it was from steroids, he didn't ask what kind. He just wanted to know when and if I have been using them since. I said no which is true. I have been training natural for a few months now. I'm on on cap a day for one month 40mg caps. I have an appointment in one month at that time the dose is going to be doubled he said.
 
I never used it on any cycles. Oral accutane has a tendancy to play with blood levels, mainly triglycerides. I used accutane for 3 months ad was virtually clear after that. Every now and then I will have a small breakout which never gets that bad.
Unfortunatly, I cannot remember the dosage I took.
 
Bro, I wouldn't really suggest juices while you are on the tane. I started accutane in the beginning over Nov, my skin has never been clearer. I was on for 2 months, and when I got my results after the first mo. my triglicercide levels were slightly high. The derm told me I can stay on, just to be careful about my cholesterol levels. If you read that link you will read the full story of why they took me off, and what I was doing wrong. But never the less, just my 2 cents. I go for my blood work on tuesday, so I can get back on. Doc gave me 3 weeks to get my shit together. Good look bro!!! You've be more than happy with the results!!!
 
I've never had bad acne. I just broke out on my shoulder especially bad and my back and chest to a minimum. My face has always been clear. My shoulders now have acne scars and there is no end in sight of the acne at this point. I'm hoping the accutane will stop the acne from coming back when I get back on the juice.
 
Holding off on drinking is not going to be a problem. The stopping myself from getting into that box of juice in my room will be the torture!!!!

Seriously, It killed all my acne and I NEVER get break-outs anymore but it almost wasnt even worth it.
 
I feel sorry for you. That shit works great, but the sides are the worse than any other medicine I have taken.
 
My Wife was on and has a LOT left over and was thinking about taking it...what is y'all recommended daily doasage and for how long???
 
BigB what are the terrible sides your talking about? I know it's suppose to dry you out real bad but I'm going to be moisterizing regularily. A lot of guys hav taken it with great success.
 
A few years back I was on Accutane, while on 500mg of Sust a week. I never had any problems other than really chap lips and really dry skin. But the shit did work, let me tell ya!

Looking back it probably wasn't the smartest thing, but at least I used plenty of Liver supps.

You just cant ever seem to control the dryness and it lasts for several months after you quit taking it. My lips were always extremely chapped, my eyes were red and dry, and my nose was always messed up from the dryness. I hated it, but after trying tons of other prescription and OTC drugs to control my acne, accutane kicked its ass in a few months. Thanks to it I only have mild acne during my cycles. I think to many people use it without the proper doctor supervision, and without trying other things first. If nothing else has worked for you then go for it. Once it's over, you'll be happy with the results, but I was just saying the sides suck.
 
I can understand all that but I would rather suffer then have this terrible acne on my shoulders. I'm getting scarring and everything. Plus when you have big muscles and acne you may as well look like shit because it's just sick. On top of that the acne is a dead give away that your juicing.
 
I have 30 20mg pills. Does anyone out there think taking 20mg's a day for a month will do anything? How about 40 mg's for 15 days?
 
You bought accutane on the black market?

Can we post the price on accutane here? It should be fine since it's not an illegal drug...

They say a cycle of accutane is 2 to 6 months. 2 being the shortest, that's from a dermatologist.
 
Did anyone still going tanning while taking it?

They say you rnot suppose to but wondering if anyone did it anyway. They say more ultraviolet is bad for the acne. A lot of guys say go tanning to help acne but the truth is it's actually worse for it.
 
I have done 2 seperate accutane cycles doctor supervised, both while on cycles, just stay away from orals and everything should be cool, I also tanned while on I did tan easier but did not burn unless over exposed, be careful tanning and accutane cause you to get cold sores much easier
 
a question for those who have used accutane, did your acne get worse at first before it got better? if yes, how much so? I recall my sister taking accutane a few years back and within the first couple of weeks she got these red patches all over her face it looked really bad, but did clear up.
 
I'm also wondering about the bad before better theory. It says that will happen right in the accutane package. I hope my face doesn't get red patches on it fuck I would be pissed, I'm already too Vain for my own good. I'm on day 4 so I'll let ya know if it starts to get worse, but like I said the acne is only on my shoulders, with a little on my chest and back so the face will be fine I'm hoping...

The reason for not going on the sunbed or in the sun is because tane will make you more sensative to UVA rays and this could lead to getting skin cancer etc easier.

Has anyone taken " isotrex gel ", this stuff is just unreal, try this stuff first before taking tane, you WILL be suprised.

I've been on Ranbaxy Isotret (generic form of accutane) prescribed by my derm. for 7 weeks now. I had maybe 2 pimples at most on my face, but I got on accutane for my back. The first 3 weeks my acne on my back got pretty bad. As of now, my back is pretty much completely clear. My overall skin looks much clearer, smoother, and overall better. My scars on back have faded dramatically. Also, the sides I'm experiencing are severely dry nose, where the snot gets stuck, and when you try to blow it out, your nose bleeds. Really bad chapped lips, just get medicated lip balm. Sore joints when lifting. Just overall dryness. Nothing I can't handle though. I'm gunna start a cycle of Upjohn Test Cyp within a month or two and hopefully the acne stays away. Hopefully some of this info helps you guys.
 
40mg Each day. I go to the derm. tommorow for my 3rd month prescription, but I think he'll keep me at 40 cause its working very very good. Just take this advice: Put on lotion and lip balm EVERYDAY now, because you know it's gunna be a guarentee that you'll be very dry. So, keep those sides under control before they get out of control. I didn't use lip balm until I needed to and honestly, both sides of my lips cracked, and took 3 weeks to get the cracks to go away. Cause I would wake up every morning, and as soon as I opened my mouth, they would crack and bleed. It hurt to eat cause I would have to open my mouth...Best of luck to you.
 
Well its dried out of course. But I'm saying I had little sweat pimples that you couldn't pop...like little bumps, and also regular pimples. They like dissapeared and makes my skin real smooth looking....Thats what I meant
 
I gotcha. I'm curious to hear how it goes when you start up your next cycle, Keep me posted.
